Wow. This one really got to me in the end yesterday night. My eyes are still red and sore this morning.
We’ve lost so many good names this year. I maybe had slightly moist eyes briefly in a small moment of rememberence for each of them, but I couldn’t stop the flood gates from eventually bursting open last night for Terry Hall.
It was just bugging and nagging at me all day this time after initially reading about it, building up and not going away for some reason.
My Sister and I were texting back and forth about it all evening whilst watching vids and interviews with him, and in the end this one just broke me down quite spectacularly and surprisingly.
(My Sister got stuck in the snow in London last weekend after The Cure gig - and thank God Robert Smith is still going strong!).
Needless to say, my car speakers are surely going to break on the way to work today with some extra loud Specials. 😭
Damn.
I enjoy everything with which he was involved.
I did not know about his early life.
May he now rest easy.
