Andor has quite a dark vibe to it and is the only thing I have ever seen related to the Star Wars universe that actually has very good acting and dialogue!
Akira
Ghost in the shell
Dark City
Maybe ‘Minority Report’
Soundtrack for ‘Colour Out of Space’
Although justly derided as a buggy mess on initial release, the PC/ PS5/Xbox X RPG Cyberpunk 2077, based on the deep pencil and paper game of the same name, which I am now playing my way through on a Series X, has been extensively bug fixed over the last two years. Now, on well specced pcs and next gen consoles, it is solid, beautiful, and a ton of fun totally in that groove, the most cyberpunk experience I’ve had since the Deus X series. Also: I love the fact that one of the stats you can work on is ‘street cred’… I got it second hand for cheap, and it’s a total bargain…

Snowcrash. Amazing book. Akira. And the anime Ghost In The Shell. (Not the live action version.) Cyberpunk was the future once…
Yeah, Snowcrash! Great book, would make a great movie if handled right...
Dive into it, and never see the surface again
Someone did the Bladerunner 2049 track live on Mononoke, and I absolutely love it
Re books, isn’t it based on Philip Dick’s electric sheep novel?
Yeah it is but that’s a bit wacky
Thanks folks, plenty of dystopian meat to get my teeth into there.
@Svetlovska ah forgot about Cyberpunk 2077, yes heard it’s a blast (with the launch bugs squashed)
@purpan2 reminds me, there’s also Total Recall which is another PKD story (We Can Remember It for You Wholesale)
@brambos yeah works well on Mononoke
@sevenape love Simon Stålenhag‘s stuff - discovered him off the back of tales from the Loop
William Gibson novels fit right in here too of course
Isn’t Detroit: Become Human a very Blade Runner like game?
Deus Ex Go on iOS, better be quick because the game will be off the Apple store January 4th 2023 😔
