USB-C "dual" adapter, is there suvh a thing?
Usage? I want to use a USB-C audio interface with iPad Pro 3rd gen, but may also need to supply power to the iPad as well. Audio interface only draws power from a single USB-C port. Which of course also is the data port.
So a USB-C dual adapter would work, I'd think - or is USB-C not capable of such thing?

You can try this one : https://www.belkin.com/usb-c-audio-charge-adapter/F7U081btBLK.html
It says Audio and Charging, but I use this one for my Steam Deck to power it and attaching a external USB-C SSD. And that works fine.
In your shopping, look for a "USB-C Power Delivery" port in addition to the data port(s). Power Delivery (or PD) is not just words, it's a standard. The PD port uses the USB-C connector, but it is not a data port (similar to the Lightning port on the Lightning CCK).
Cool, thanks!
Several bad reviews on Amazon - seems it can be a bit "flaky", even out of the box!
I tried that Belkin adapter a while back for the same purpose and did not have luck. I believe this hub will work though:

I have one at home, I'll check if the second usbc port can power devices and post back in about an hour.
Wow, something so easily handled by both USB and lightning - seems to be just too difficult for the "wonder kid" USB-C! Only one I could find was the Belkin linked to above and with ratings well below 4, and some reports of not working does not inspire confidence.
I thought USB-C would be a better option as it was a later protocol - should have just got a iPad Pro 2nd gen!
Thanks, appreciate that!
That Anker one looks ok - except I'd also have to buy a new 85w (min) power adapter! I was hoping to use it from a USB Battery bank - that does not deliver anywhere near that level.
This might help:

I just checked and the Anker hub can power external devices. I tested it with my electra.one midi controller that has an LCD screen and also a midi keyboard. As far as the power requirements go, it may still be worth trying. I downloaded the manual and it had the following information regarding the 100W requirement: "77W for charging the connected laptop and 23W for powering the hub". But I think iPad Pros come with only a 20W adapter, so maybe would be ok with an iPad? Good luck!
