AUM - searching for apps in use?
hi!
love to the audiobus community!
was wondering if there is a handy way in AUM to look up what apps are in use across all of my sessions.
going through and deleting some apps but really dont wanna get the red circle of death and find out that i was actually using said app in a certain session.
this function may not exist but i thought id ask!
thanks!

I don't believe that something like that exists.
If the apps are AUv3 and as long as they're still available in your purchased items in the App Store, you could generally re-install if you did run into that problem, and probably not lose any work. Just don't save the AUM session with the missing plugin. Exit, re-install the app, then re-open the session.
If the goal is only to free up space (as opposed to getting rid of clutter), you can also just offload the apps rather than deleting them.
word! thanks for the response! im really doing it so my app list in aum isn’t impossible to scroll through and i can feel like i have control over my GAS. a giant list of apps to choose from just distracts me when im in my workflow. if there is a way to delete them from the AUM list, thats just as good i suppose.
Offloading apps won't delete them from the AUM list ... at least I don't think so. You'd have to actually delete the plugins. Chances of irrecoverably losing work are there to some degree though.
I never, ever scroll the AUM list. I just swipe for the search box and type a few letters of the plugin I want. But, I realize having a massive amount of plugins, would tax one's memory.
word. yeah thanks for the response. the scrolling is part of the fun for me
ill just carefully go through and delete. thanks
