    I've seen iMazing recommended. May be the only alternative to iTunes or iCloud, and might be more receptive to older systems. Apps may be a problem if they are no longer in the AppStore.

    Yes, that's the one I have heard of but I'm not up to date on these matters. I was interested in seeing what the clever boffins like you, Wim, Samu etc. had to say on the subject.
