Did you see his iPad quote at 8:28?
💯 iOS is the way.
They didn’t believe us!!
Yessir 🙏🏻
It’s kinda funny that some folks are surprised that music can made on an iPad. It tells me they don’t understand music making nor what an iPad is. I guess most folks only see a computer when they look at desktop or laptop - not a iPhone, iPad, Amazon Echo, ATM, microwave etc. 😂
I love how Madlib responded about iPads, “that’s the best piece equipment you can have…”
Anything that can be made on desktop can be made on mobile, including recording performances. We know this, but the general public think a room full of gear is still needed. 🤷🏽
@Stuntman_mike :Darn right!
HA!!!!!!!!!!!
Right on... Yeah, lots of people need to watch this, share widely!
I found out about listening to an interview with “The Alchemist”.

All done on an iPhone
Madlib showed me the way on so many things.

Some people are too busy making bangers to fret over what equipment they use. My son introduced me to Madlib and other top hip-hop producers.
Also Burial who I really like. He uses SoundForge!

Word !
From the master
Damn was made in studios…
Thanks bro. Madlib was one of my childhood heroes. Dam-Funk should also try producing on an ipad. Is would listen to that!
I’m trying to think of more iPad stars:
Richard Devine, Just Blaze, Steve Spacek, Deadmau5, Richie Hawtin, Jordan Rudess, Kraftwerk, Orbital, Q-Tip, Suzanne Ciani, and Roots Manuva to name some…
Coldcut as well with Jammpro
There are also some apps that go beyond normal gear and make the iPad must buy hardware: like Borderland, Animoog, Fluss and Samplr.
Anybody here get into Beatsurfing 2 yet?
@anickt : I tried tagging you originally but I was misspelling it.
iOS is the future, ppl!
Any Madlib/Burial fan around here? will love to get that kind of production in iOS Any tips with "low-budget" mindset?
@raimundoarriagada that is the tip “low budget” lofi
😎👍🏼
Yep seen this already, it's a couple years old now at least
Yeah, I like when he talks about his jam sessions where he learns his favorite songs by removing frequencies to replay parts. Good insight, good idea 😊
Keep it simple. Think outside the box. Don’t overwork things. Create atmospheres. Listen to what the great ones do and do it the way you would do it.
