Spotify through AUM

Is there a way to have Spotify through AUM?

I really need to find a way to adjust the volume of Spotify (that I use as background audio) while playing over it.
Not interested in recording it, just being able to adjust its relative volume.

Any suggestion is welcome!

  • @Kewe_Esse Looks like Web AU doesn't route audio. Do you have it?

  • Ergh yeah but never really used it… just checking it now… no audio :(

  • with an external audio interface that can loop back?

I already have an interface with 2 inputs and 4 outputs, the zoom U24, but I already use 1 input and 3 outs. The problem is I have no idea on how to route Spotify to the single available output

I’m afraid I have no idea. I’m using an Iconnectivity device..

  • Hi there!
Did you find a solution @Keyb or anybody else?
I just ran into the same exact problem. I want to practice over songs on spotify but the Spotify output is way to loud compared to the instruments I run through my interface and I can't find a way to turn Spotify down. (Turning the instruments up doesn't work, it results in hard clipping.)
    Thanks for any input!

  • Unfortunately no solutions 😢

What about AmpliFind app, have that app been removed from Appstore?

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • I need the same function for playing along with. In the end I found Chord ai can play back audio (from YouTube), change speed and pitch, and more importantly, volume. (It also shows the chords for the songs - with some degree of success.) You can always screen grab the audio from Spotify, then share with Chord ai.

I tried to test this, but could not login into Spotify within the App.

The final green button for login just does not work - I tried with removing any and all Safari extension first, but that did not help.

I’m on iPadOS 17 beta 3.1 so I can’t tell why Amplifind crashing when trying logging into Spotify…

Yep, I thought about screen grabbing and feeding through koala or whatever too, but that's way too much hassle when I just want to jam along to a song or try something out quickly. I can of course run two separate systems, but then I need two devices and the bigger problem is that then I can't use headphones.

Yes, that’s why I just use YouTube and Chord ai. Misses out the screen grab step.

  • Ahhh, I misunderstood. I thought chord ai required screen grabbing too. Just tried it out. Looks like it should work just fine. Thank you @Fitz !

  • No need for the app that shall not be named regarding YouTube. Chord ai does this too. It’s kept within the app though, no export of audio.

More than likely the song you want is on YouTube to an app like Tube AU might work?

  • Cheap phone to audio interface?
