First go with the Textquencer beta: Alhazred’s Book

“ At first the syllables defied all correlation with any speech of earth, but toward the last there came some disjointed fragments evidently taken from the Necronomicon, that monstrous blasphemy…” H.P. Lovecraft, The Dunwich Horror.

I like this app a lot. :)

@cem_olcay kindly let me play with the beta. So naturally the three texts - the disjointed fragments - I typed into three instances of Textquencer inside AUM were those all-time greatest hits:

“That is not dead which can eternal lie / And with strange aeons even death may die” ; “Necronomicon”; and of course, “Cthulhu”.

I used the sequences these created, unedited but chopped and gated by MIDI Gates and live mixing as the sequences ran to create a bass line in 8 Voice Synth (‘That which is not dead’, etc); high atmospherics and bells in Trooper (‘Necronomicon’) and demon voices using the preset ‘Demon’ naturally, in FRMS (this one was Cthulhu, obvs - though of course he is not a demon, as any fule kno.).

Bangs and clangs from Fractal Beats and Sidekick, the usual every reverb in the box, Bark Filter on mastering, and recorded/mixed live into AudioShare.

Look forward to see what other inspiring phrases will give me…

Thanks all for your listens and very kind comments! Does a body good to know that one is not entirely howling into the void :)

I am really in love with this thing. So much so, that, sorry, but I had to go and make another thing with it today, a slightly longer, slightly more thought-through piece, I think. Please feel free to check it out in Creations if you’d like.

Yes, @NoncompliantBryant , ties? that is a very good question… I don’t know! I tend to just fudge and fumble my way round new apps without, you know, actually understanding them. (Makes me a terrible beta tester, obvs!)

Sounds like a good idea though. Maybe suggest it to @cem_olcay ? Btw - love your forum name! :)
