Can AUM do this?
Sledgehammer to crack an egg but..
1: I’d like just three slider controls. Guitar app, music player and overall volume.
I know how to do the first two but can I then output their combined sound into a new one for overall volume? I know it’s across the to but fiddly and would prefer a bigger and easier access control.
2: Probably a no to the next one but when using an audio player like anytune, can I add control options on AUM screen for next track etc?
In audiobus control is limited to pause, play and next track
Thanks

1 If I’m understanding you @Pacemaker1000 , you just need to add another channel with a mixing bus and then point the first two channels (file players in my case but could be whatever you want) as this as per this screenshot?

2 I’m not familiar with anytune but if it exposes next track etc as parameters then you could map something e.g. the AUM keyboard to it… possibly 😊
Do you have a IAA music player?
If you mean that Audiobus MIDI Learn only offers those controls (AUv3 parameters), then you can control those same parameters in AUM. If the player accepts MIDI input, or allows MIDI mapping of its screen controls, then you can certainly use those features. If you're looking for some on-screen controllers, the LK AUv3 has a MIDI Controllers IAP with sliders and buttons that can be assigned to various CCs. Route it to AUM's MIDI Control to use the controls.
AnyTune has a midi pack which says can use a midi footswitch to control features?
So sounds promising although I have no idea how to set it up 😁😁
It looks like AnyTune is not an AUv3 plug-in. So it uses IAA (Inter-App Audio) and Virtual MIDI to interconnect. You could still use the LK MIDI Controller in AUM, and route its output to the AnyTune virtual port (use the snake icon in AUM to see the ports). MIDI Learn would be a little inconvenient, due to needing to switch processes, but you should be able to enter the desired CC numbers in AnyTune, and configure LK accordingly.
So doable?
Maybe there’s a more compatible audio player
Yes, definitely doable. An audio player with MIDI control is likely pretty rare. If you're not familiar with this stuff, you're going to learn some new (and useful) things.
Try posting a specific question mentioning AnyTune, AUM, and MIDI in the title. That may bring in some AnyTune users with specific knowledge.
Why is the fact it’s only AAI stop it working in AUM as it does have midi?
Anytune does work with AUM
I did not say being IAA stopped it working in AUM. Just means the MIDI hookup may not be as convenient. Have you tried loading AnyTune in AUM? You might need to load it first.
What is your midi issue? I use Anytune under midi control without issue. Just turn on midi in Anytune and send the desired midi to its virtual midi port
