Where else do iOS music people discuss iOS music making...

This is the best place I’ve found.
Can't beat a good olde Vanilla Forum
This site has just the right mix of dedicated users and developers. The perfect formula for discovering, recommending, testing and improving apps.
Surprisingly Reddit is dead. My go to for niche content, but for some reason iOS music subs are basically barren. People just spam their creations and that’s 95% of all that’s happening…
I’m in a Facebook group or two and those seem active, but I visit Facebook less than once a month these days… and they can’t replace an actual forum anyway.
KVR has a mobile section on the forum, but I generally remember it not being used much, or the occasional person only going there to disparage iOS music making.
May have changed now, but I generally avoid the place.
The official Facebook groups for Koala and Loopy Pro are quite active as are the official Discord channels, and Drambo has its own forum that I tend to only visit if I have specific questions.
This is still by far the best place for general discussion IMO.
The iPad Musician was the sister group on Facebook to the Audiobus Forum. Nowadays I'm not so sure... I don't join the discussions there too much anymore.
But there are some specific groups on FB for Sunvox, Zenbeats, Drambo, Beatmaker, etc.
Discord, is the same. There are some channels for specific stuff too
But here is the best place
I have tried to engage with genre specific forums on Reddit for Synthwave and LoFi with limited success, but agree that AB forum is the best for iOS. Devs, music creators, youtubers, collectively loads of knowledgable people with iOS specific experience, it's all here.
I don't think reddit/ipadmusic is quite as bad as you say, but I don't see any reason to use it when ABF exists.
https://www.reddit.com/r/ipadmusic/
I wish Discchord was still going. Wishing you all the best Tim Webb
There's also reddit.com/r/iosmusicproduction ( DJPuzzle is mod) and reddit.com/r/GarageBand is reasonably active.
I like to hear what people are making and wouldn't mind the spam so much if they didn't tend to brag about how little time it took to make their latest creation (and it shows).
You can't even give constructive feedback even if they ask, because they'll be like: "Yeh, I kno. Only worked on it 30 mins."
I wouldn’t say Reddit is “dead”. I post on DJ Puzzle’s sub r/iOSmusicproduction often as does he
There are several discord servers tho?
Loopy Pro, Koala Beatcast, Audio Damage, Mobile Music Pro, Ipadbeatmaking, Endlesss, Patchstorage, etc
Facebook:
Ali’s group -
“TheBeatCommunity “
Nino’s group -
“ipadOS and iOS Audio Units”
Marcus Elbow’s group
YouTuber livestreams can get kinda busy in the chat.
Seem really friendly, too.
People greeting each other like they are old friends.
I like iPad Musician on Facebook, but the ABF is pretty much "home" for me.
