[SOLVED] Split Screen and MIDI Designer (Split View); iPad iOS 15
Anybody know how to disable split screen ("split view") on an iPad? The latest version of iOS (15.7) doesn't have a way in settings, as it used to, to disable it. Any workaround? I want to completely eradicate split screen; I don't need it. It's annoying.
In MIDI Designer the critical "more" button is exactly in the same spot as the split screen three dots. I can't access the utility functions of MD without triggering split screen garbage. Is there a way to move the "more" button to avoid the conflict?

I found the solution. It's called Guided Access. It's a function under Accessibility that disable three split-screen dots and all the swipe functionality for closing the app or going to another app. In other words, it locks the current app (in my case, MIDI Designer) on the screen and you can only exit with three presses of the home button. I have an older iPad with a home button.
Settings | Accessibility | Guided Access
For some reason it requires a passcode. Easy to set up. (I'm on iOS 15.7)
Here's the thread on the MIDI Designer forum where I found the solution. It's in the videos.

Another temporary work around: swipe from a neutral spot on the screen (not the edges) and the little block with the 'more' and the banks selectors move down far enough to hit the 'more.' But only for a second; you have to hit it fast. This is only for MIDI Designer. Guided Access trick should work for any app (including games).
@ThinAirX also if you have the last version of MDP2, you can swipe down from the top edge. Here's some extra reading

but Swipe Down should work for you. Thanks!
