I saw this today, apparently it’s a month old. Not sure if it’s Au or not doesn’t mention it.
Qithesizer - $29.99 - designed with wind controllers in mind. Virtual Analog, Wavetable, & Physical Modeling in one
divixor - the playful 16-step sequencer free until 1st august
edit: manual 📋
fun
space synthesizer free
Given the intentional support of wind controllers I’m curious about this, but not $30 curious! Following on AppSliced…
This is pretty freaking cool. No connection but audio and midi export.
Just got a blank screen haven’t restarted device yet but it sure looks cool on App Store
Both of these are really cool. Wonder if there’s any plans for AU?
Edit: don’t bother with the synth one. Kinda glitchy and riddled with ads.
I got it to work but I can’t see an option to load user samples and it only comes with one stock sample.
Same for me, still after restart. Sure looks cool on the AppStore.
If you get it to work let me know if you can find a way to upload your own samples. It’s working fine for me but I can’t find a way to lead user sample and it literally comes with one single synth sample.
Works as intended for midi out though! Was controlling Nambu with it earlier
You can get samples into it via the files app, there should be a folder to put them under ‘on my iPad’ 👍
Ah I see so you just drag them into the app folder itself?
Yep and then they show up in the sample list in the app. There may be another way to import directly within the app but I couldn’t find it either 🤷♂️
I didn’t think to do that 🤦🏻♂️ I was only looking in the app itself. Thank you 🙏 seems like a really cool app
No worries, it does look cool yes. Not the most intuitive app around though. I haven’t got much further than managing to load samples in tbh 🙂
Yeah definitely not the most intuitive. The manual is very in depth but not very well written. Uses weird names for things that are not typically used for said things. I think it’s easy to get something going but once you want to get deep it gets a little rough. Would be cool to see it go AU since it works as a MIDI sequencer.
So @HotStrange how did you get it to work? I’m on newest iOS, restarted, maybe a delete and reinstall.
Tried all that, no luck so far.
On new iOS also and haven’t had any issues from the start honestly. It opened up right away from first install. No restart or anything. Did you have any luck?
Weird. I’m wondering why I’m not having any trouble. I did open it up once to a black screen but simply closing it for a few seconds and reopening did the trick.
Not yet, let me check my ios I thought I was updated. Thanks.
Keep me updated. I’m interested in following the progress of this app because it has real potential. Also worth mentioning I emailed the dev about a problem and they responded within a few hours so might be worth contacting them about it.
Also on my reply to the dev I mentioned the forum and the issues you guys are having and said it may be worth checking in on here.
Cool, thanks.
I just read on one of my Facebook groups, No Auv3 or IAA for this one. Bummer.
No prob. Hopefully he’ll stop by and at least read the comments. You still having issues?
It’s always kinda weird to me when someone puts that much time into developing an iOS app but leaves out any kinds of connections to the iOS music ecosystem. I guess for performance it’s not bad but still kinda strange.
@HotStrange so I wasn’t on 16.5, but I updated and it still doesn’t work. Deleted reinstalled, nada.
I think this happens when people are interested in making something cool, but aren’t necessarily in the loop with the iOS music scene.
Sweet, I’ve done that in the past, they usually come by. Cheers.
