question about Camelot Pro IOS and Inter-App audio

Is there any way to run an IAA app such as iElectric in Camelot Pro, for example using AUM as an intermediary? If so, how would I route this?

    No, Camelot does not recognise IAA in any way. afaics, AUM cannot be loaded "inside" Camelot either. I just had a look at Audiobus as well and while it can see AUM it did not see Camleot.

    AUv3 hosts can't load other auv3 hosts, which is why camelot can't load aum

    But AUM is IAA so if Camelot supports IAA it should be able to connect to AUM?!
    Maybe Camelot is strictly an AUv3 host with zero support for IAA...

    I think you mean AUv3 can’t load other AUv3.

    If Camelot doesn’t support IAA , it won’t be able to connect to apps that are only standalones.

    I’m not sure if this comment was directed at me, but I clearly stated that AUv3 hosts can’t load other AUv3 hosts, or have we got our wires crossed?

    thanks guys. I thought as much. One of the few reasons I would use Keystage instead.

    I am clarifying the issue. Your comment makes it sound like the issue is whether a host loading a host.

    I am just pointing out that it is simpler than that. An AUv3 can’t load ANY AUv3 — it doesn’t matter whether the other AU can be a host (when it is a standalone).

    An IAA app CAN be run via Camelot Pro using a virtual midi port. For example, doing this with iLectric allows me to control the program number and effect levels such as tremolo rate and depth. The volume, however, can only be controlled within iLectric.

    Im enjoying Camelot Pro immensely, a great way to tie all ipad music making experience together.

    But this is still a huge thing tho- theres no way to record on the camelots output on ipad itself ??
    Kind of seems a no-brainer, even just a small wav recorder for recording some sessions or little ideas..
    Am I missing something or it really isn't there?

    And can we do something to make it happen? :) I wrote an email to Audiomodeling team, but I guess it is too general email to get any response to my minor annoyance..

    So can Keystage definitely do this? I've emailed the dev to ask this specific question but no response so far. At the moment I'm using AUM for playing live (it **can ** load IAA but you have to launch the app separately then hit Reload most of the time) but would prefer to switch to a more dedicated live app. There's one specifc patch in Korg ARP ODYSSEi I can't live without :) @Ali_Göktürk - can you clarify please?

    It's my understanding that Keystage handles IAA the same way AUM does. You can't directly add IAA in Keystage

    Thanks @LeesKeys - so in AUM you can do this

    and then you can add an effects chain etc. Works really well. Is it similar to that in Keystage or just Virtual Midi? If the latter I assume that means you couldn't add AU effects so that would be a downgrade on AUM

    Can someone confirm that keystage full version works as an IAA instance in AUM and in Loopy for example?
    I right now have the 2 hour trial and it doesn't show up anywhere, just like Camelot..

    Did you try loading Keystage stand-alone first, before opening AUM? That sometimes helps.

    Not working for me whatsoever.
    As I said, i right now have the keystage lite with trial mode activated.
    Before I purchase the full version, can someone with the full version please confirm (screenshot or whatever) the Keystage is working inside AUM for them?
