Samplist

I don’t see midi set up in the app!?
How can I send midi to it?

Usually in this situation, I look at the Midi Output settings of the other app I am trying to connect to.
In this case, look for Samplist Virtual Midi Input in the list and select that.

If connecting a Bluetooth device to control it, try the Bluetooth settings inside of Samplist.

If connecting an external midi controller without Bluetooth, you probably need another app to act as a Midi utility and provide a window to see all the different Virtual Midi ports you are running, and allow you to connect them. Some hosts like AUM or Audiobus can do this, and there are some small midi utility apps that can do it too.

Thanks for the reply CP ;)

i should have mentioned, I'm looking to connect to hardwre sequencer (MPC one)

  • You should try the last suggestion then, I guess.
Have AUM or Audiobus running and use it to see and connect the MPC output to Samplist Virtual Midi input.
Try triggering the pads by sending Midi notes starting on Midi Note 60, and go up chromatically to trigger each consecutive pad.

Also, once the MPC one is successfully connected to Samplist, you can try using Midi Learn in Samplist Settings to control some of the available (mappable) parameters.

I assume you own AUM or Audiobus. If not, I can try to remember a cheap, small midi utility that can help with this. I usually use AUM or Audiobus for this now, so it has been a while since I had to use the midi utility option.
