What is the structure of the "CHORD" button chord in Korg apps (iM1, Module)?
I love this chord's sound but can't for the life of me work out what it actually is! Does anyone know?

Oh I think I've finally got it. I thought it was a major 7th but couldn't work out how it was spread out.
If anyone is interested, this is what this chord sounds like:
I wish more synths had a chord function, it’s so convenient. I know Sunrizer has it.
How does the Sunrizer one work? Have read manual but never been able to set my own chord or how the overwriting works…
Synthmaster Player as well. Chords sound pretty neat.
Does it vary according to what mode you’re in (ie what Korg labels as a scale)
I think it's all about the chord voicing with an extra bass note.
Instead of having all chord notes condensed within one octave they are spread across 2-3...
So Gadget could use a 'Chord Voicing' option for sure!
I think that C3 is left out of the chord voicing to keep it open sounding otherwise that major 3rd with the nearby E adds a lot of extra harmonics that affect the results.
This sound is the basis for a lot of jazz piano… the piano always lets the bass choose the root and the left hand plays 2 notes for any chord… the 3rd and the 7th. Major or minor as needed to complete a chords “shell”.
It keeps the harmony jazzy with the constant 7ths but really open for solos over this base.
Hey you are right! Thanks heaps for that. This is how I have it now.
