You can record with the mic with the free version. The IAP allows for using the app with Audiobus (and the ability to disable the mic input when running in AB).
I love the app. It's a very unique reverb for iOS. Lots of weird modulated spring effects are possible. It's inspired by a patch in Super Collider, which I've never heard.

I'd love to know what the patch in SuperCollider is. I looked, but couldn't really match the description.
