cubasis midi merge or over dub?

is there a way to merge two midi tracks i recorded on the same track?
when recording midi is it possible to record some midi, and then overdub more midi notes on the same track?
are there different record modes in cubasis, as there are in cubase pro ?

Yes, you can do that in cubasis.

Yes, you can do that in cubasis.

    how do you do it?

  • You record two separate clips on the same track, move them over each other like you want, then choose "Glue" to merge all clips". In Audio Evolution, the same function is called "Merge all clips".

  • Hi @eross,

    As @rs2000 already mentioned:

    • Please tap the "Select" button and select the MIDI events you want to combine into a single event
    • Tap the "Glue" button

    Hope that helps!

    Best,
    Lars

Oh and btw, if you record over the same clip, a new clip will appear over the old one but you can move it away and see the previous clip :)

  • awesome guys thanks!

I mostly use this method for drums but you can use any instrument.

at i want to do. but each time the loop comes around it records another clips and stacks it above the previous one, instead of the way it adds the midi to your current clip.( like your demo video)
are there different midi record modes i need to set ? and where?

  • Another way to do it when the clips stack on top of each other like @rs2000 mentioned.
