Lfoch by Alexey Nadzharov
https://apps.apple.com/app/id1665885755
Description:
lfoch is an experimental LFO generator that can create "chase"-like effect with multiple outputs from a single complex waveform
It features:
- 2 LFO generators with phase modulation / ring modulation:
- Each LFO generators contains 2 suboscillators; one suboscillator modulates phase of another
- For each suboscillator you can set waveform rate, waveform type (with smooth morph between sine, triangle, sawtooth and square waveforms), nonlinear curve (for overdrive-like effect) and minimum/maximum range
- The result waveform is a multiplication of two generated LFO waveforms
- You can use 1..16 points from this waveform to output as MIDI control change values
- You can toggle the "playback" (phase change) of each generator with I/II buttons
- You can randomise parameter values with "dice" buttons
- App has two modes for live usage
- 'perform' mode has larger waveform view and some selected sliders (if any)
- 'edit' mode contains all controls on one screen
- Each generator can be synchronized to tempo. In this mode the "speed" value runs from 4 quarter forward to 4 quarter backwards speed, the fastest value in this mode is 1/32
- When running inside AUv3 host the app uses host's transport.
- "free mode" setting allows you not to follow the host transport
lfoch is a standalone app and an AUv3 MIDI Effect.
AUv3 effect supports parameter automation and preset saving inside host.
Standalone version currently does not output MIDI in background mode.

I'd like this in my Eurorack.
Yeah I think I’m going to get it just to try out with my cvpal
Hm. Not showing up in AUM in any slot for me even after reboot. Standalone only. It is seen in the AUM matrix view as a virtual device that way, but can’t be seen or opened in a regular MIDI slot. Investigating further…
That’s weird, it shows up here
Swipe close AUM
Tried it. Nope.
Have you tried the home button + power button restart thing?
Yep. And complete delete & reinstall. No contact for dev on the store either…
His email address is in this post 👍:

Hello!
Would be happy to know the details, maybe device and configuration.
It should run as AUv3 MIDI effect in AUM if your iOS version is no less than 13 though the standalone requires just iOS 9

Alex
So far I like it in my brief exploration well definitely put it to good use.
Hi @a_n : running 16.1.1.on an Air 3 (2018) IPad with 254.1 of 256 gb used.
only 2 GB left is begging for trouble... needs sweeping
Has anyone made some music with this LFO app that demonstrates it’s usefulness yet?
thanks!! will check that
sorry for inconvenience
@a_n : so agreeing with @Telefunky that being so close to full might be the issue, I cleared out a lot of stuff, did the delete, reboot reinstall thing again… and it’s working.
Guess that did the trick!
Reporting back in case this info helps at all. I do have a humongous number of apps on the iPad which might also be an issue, some of which I can’t remove because they have gone from the store and so are now zombie apps living on only here, which makes complete wipes and restores of the iPad not an option.
Thanks for your prompt response and concern anyway. I’m off now to road test your v. interesting creation.
Great!! I'm happy it worked!
I can understand that, i'm very conservative in upgrading my iPad that i'm using for live performances.
Hope this app will be a useful instrument in your setup. Enjoy
Regards,
Alex
I have very little idea what I’m doing with the controls so far but the graphics make it pretty clear what the LFO waves and dot points are doing. Using MIDI Learn in AUM and applying it to channel volumes makes for some very spacey ping pong types of effects when 2 channels are wired out of phase. The sliders dance in the most non-typical patterns.
Definately worth the $4 entrance fee. Could be my favorite LFO since it sets up so rapidly and produces unusual non-typical wave patterns.
P.S. there is a small manual here http://alexnadzharov.com/apps/lfoch/lfoch User Guide.pdf
It's quite brief but i hope it may help a bit
Just noticed a new app from Alexey called Lfoch. It’s an experimental LFO. AUv3 midi effect.
Lfoch is $3.99
This is the same developer as Soundfruuze, Rrarrow, keyboarero, and others…

I did. That’s the only reason I did it, cause I searched and nothing came back. Weird. Thanks for letting me know though.
I see what happened even though I spelled it correctly it searched for something else even though that’s not what I typed in…
I’m a sucker for a modulation app. At $3.99 this just bounced high up on my list.
Thanks for the early feedback @McD
I’d Love to see a video of this from someone. Time to search…
Yea I was thinking of starting a thread, although I do remember one from a couple years ago about Maximizing cpu.
Just to go back to your comment in the other thread, but on a slight tangent, I do think the name choice for lfoch is a little unfortunate as in many fonts, Ifoch (capital i) and lfoch (lower case L) look identical.
It reminds me of how the Ioniarics dev managed to misspell his own app's name in the auv3 version, no doubt causing user frustration as people searched in the aum search box and couldn't find the app. That said, I do agree that lfoch looks cooler than Lfoch
"LFO Chase" would probably increase sales. But I'll just keep calling it "El Fok".
I've been using Drambo and my MOTU M4 with my Eurorack for custom LFOs and envelopes.
How many LFOs does this output?
