Just assign your layer to the modwheel in the layer settings (Articulation = mod wheel up)

Oh crap! I forgot about that function. I always took it as a crossfade function between layers.
But if only one layer, then it could be used as a volume control?
    If I understand correctly:

    • modwheel up=CC1 increase = volume increase
    • modwheel down=CC1 increase = volume decrease

Exact. But if you have several layers, you can still set the same parameter value for each layer and they will behave the same : mod wheel down = no sound and mod wheel up = all layers to 100% of volume

  • Would mapping a CC to an AUM channel volume slider work for your intended purpose? I like to tie an LFO app to 2 AUM channels with one channel out of phase so the sliders move opposite each other. Sometimes I also tie the LFO to a Stereo Panning function and get volume and stereo location pulsing to an LFO. Perfect for adding extra morphing for 2 copies of Continua with @Spidericemidas pad presets.

But I will also be checking out the audio layer mod wheel layer assignments. Extra morphing gets me closer to the classic synth sounds I covet.
