  • Beautifully atmospheric, good to have you back 👌

  • This is exquisite. Gentle, elegant and moving.

  • Great to know you are safe and sound, and back to full production.
This recording is so serene, so good to be under the light of the full moon!
I agree with @GeoTony and @MadeofWax , Exquisite, atmospheric, elegant, truly moving!!!
    Thanks for this beauty!

  • Welcome back mate. :) And what a hella powerful way to return to our humble forum by blessing us with this incredible music! I'm wondering, which app(s) did you use to achieve such a realistic-sounding orchestra? :) Which IAPs, if any?

  • Thanks @GeoTony @MadeofWax @ReneAsologuitar @jwmmakerofmusic .

I don’t think it sounds very realistic. This one was made in nano studio with mostly obsidian using my own patches made with samples from piano book, labs, and my own recordings. I made the piano patch in audiolayer. And the synth choir was recorded separately in GarageBand on Mac with labs, and imported in nano studio in neon audio editor.

  • I'll add my "wow" as well. Things took a slightly spooky turn at 1:30 but loved the way it evolved from there, retaining an air of mystery and timeless beauty. You say its a work in progress, and not sure what else you're considering, but I don't think it needs anything else.

  • Thank you @belldu. It is only the beginning of a l’on her piece. It is mostly written but K still have to record it. Then adjust, correct and mix properly.

That...is...incredible! To me, it does sound more realistic than any of what I've produced. 😂 (Then again, if I'm being honest with myself, I need to put in more work to get a more realistic sound to my productions.)

  • I think the quest for the so called realistic sound is a chimera. The only way to sound realistic is to hire an orchestra. Anything else is an approximation. Doesn’t mean it can’t be good though.

I don’t try to sound realistic. I just use the sounds that I like and are supposed to convey the emotion I’m trying to share (more or less successfully).

  • Here is the final version:

  • 🙏 my favourite section ? the strings between 0:40 and 1:05... sublime ! (rest of it was pretty good 😊)

  • Safe in California? Oh well. Whatever floats your boat. Peace, bro.

  • I meant the travel went well.
