PCF filter
Is there anything on iOS similar to the PCF filter in the old Rebirth software? Guessing Drambo could do it - but I wouldn’t know where to begin. Anyone care to share some knowledge? Is there something - or how could I create something similar?
Comments
If I recall correctly the PCF (Pattern Controlled Filter) filter in ReBirth had a few preset patterns that triggered the filter envelope.
In practice you could use a step-sequencer to trigger a filter envelope or automate it.
Take Flux Pro from Caelum Audio for a spin...
(It does a LOT more and is well worth to have it in the toolbox).
BLEASS Motion FX is another AUv3 that may be a bit easier to use and can do similar effects.
Perforator from Bram Bos is also in the same category.
Cem’s pattern bud could send stepped based and pattern based modulation. So can stepbud, & octachron.
so can this be set to to start from
the beginning eat time it audio comes into the app?
for instance if i hit a chord on the guitar it starts the modulation sequence. but as if i stop playing , and then strum another chord. it starts the modulation sequence back at the beginning ?

You can use incoming midi notes to restart the sequence and also side-chain it with audio.
And you can always use another apps as an envelope follower and and send a midi note to it.
There’s a pretty extensive manual over at the Carlin audio website with more details as I don’t remember everything about every single app
And this is FREE. Good suggestion!
thanks Samu. i’m gonna look into that manual and try the side chain
cool thanks
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I think I’m going to get Flux Pro - I totally overlooked that when it was released for some reason - it looks and sounds very cool.
