Mimic Koala FX in Drambo and Ableton
I LOVE Koala FX. I use it in Drambo and Ableton all the time. But sometimes I want a bit more control. Also, mapping Koala FX in Ableton every time is a bit of a pain.
I wonder, what built-in rack FX might one use to copy Koala’s? Here they are, for reference:
Crush
Pitch
Comb
Ring
Reverb
Stutter
Gate
Filter
Cutter
Reverse
Dub
Tempo Delay
Talkbox
Dirty
Vibroflange
Compressor
Some of those are pretty obvious, like compressor. I’m interested how one might get the stutter and cutter FX, and especially the comb filter.

AUv3 effects in Ableton? Is this new? I thought only AUv3 generators are working in Live. On the iPad it’s a great solution to add KoalaFX on the master to add performance effects. I‘m already wondering for some time if there is a similar plugin in desktop land.
Comb filter is a built-in Drambo module and it sounds very similar (sliding up and down in Koala FX is like changing the Cutoff value).
Stutter and Cutter FX are best done with the new Punch-In FX and Punch-In Looper module so you can easily control them via the drum pads.
Maybe worth just purchasing the desktop version of Turnado?
I was thinking that punch-in fx would be perfect.
In that case, I might as well just use Koala FX!
As much as you can replicate it all in Drambo.
Koala FX is just so much more straightforward!

Sure but @mistercharlie asked for more control 😊
Thinking about it, I wonder how much of this could already be done with Ableton native devices. They look boring but usually there's quite some power under the hood.
Ableton’s native devices are excellent. There’s no comb filter, but you can use the new hybrid reverb with a comb IR and it works quite well.
