  • Thanks as always for the great support. Tell the team we appreciate all their/your hard work 🙏🏼💗👊🏼™️

  • Nice! Super good to have this frequency of updates, thank you! 🙌🏼
I know that this is not the proper way of doing feature request, and I think this has been already requested.. but, please.. Cubasis needs an audio unit search feature, or an alphabet on the side to fast scroll through them 🙂

  • Thanks to the team that keeps working to make Cubasis better and better 👍🏻

  • Thanks @Lars
Even if another big daw decides to come to iOS, you and your team has a huge head start.

2nd the search / alphabet option, would love an option to tag and show just my fav plugs and instruments

  • Thank you Lars and Team

  • oh man the tutorials are gone and it looks so much cleaner. Thanks so much. It's such a small thing but I'm glad that the devs listened.

  • Thanks for your continued updates!

    Thanks for the new release!

Could you please also confirm whether the "channel" value is still ignored in a track midi input settings (at least for inputs coming from MIDI effects)? See -> https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/comment/1164286/#Comment_1164286

    Thanks

  • Very nice, thank you!

  • guess I'll have to wait for Cubasis 7 if I want a tempo track

Or the gd dmn*d Sampler Track from Cubase which would cover >90% of my sampling needs in Cubasis...

That will be in cubasis 9, but there will be some bug and we’ll have to wait for a bug fix in 9.4.6

  • I’m seeing a bug where the sidechain input button disappears after switching between insert effects. (No idea if this is a new thing or not; haven’t used Cubasis for a while.) This is on an iPad Pro 11” with Tablet layout. Let me know if it’s hard to reproduce and I’ll see if I can be more detailed.

(Here’s one way but it’s overall a bit flaky: 1.turn on the already added Channel Strip on a track and open its interface, 2. switch to a different effect [don’t know if it has to be one without sidechain], 3. pick a Channel Strip again from the effect lists — and the sidechain input button is gone, but will reappear if we open a different effect already attached to the track and then go back to the Channel Strip.)

If I'm not totally mistaken the 'side-chain input selector' only appears when a plug-in actually supports multiple inputs.

Yeah, the problem is that it appears that the side-chain input selector can disappear for effects that do support multiple inputs (pick such an effect, switch it out for one that doesn't, and switch it back to the first effect—I think I've had it happen under some less clear circumstances too, but this one kind of makes sense.)

  • @chrka
I haven't taken today's 3.5.1 update yet, so I tried it on my 3.5. The problem appeared as you described it.

FWIW, I ignored the automatically present but disabled Channel Strip and Studio EQ insert effects. I instead added a Channel Strip to the empty 3rd slot, and the sidechain icon was present. I replaced that with a Studio EQ, then replaced that with a Channel Strip: the sidechain icon was not present. I closed the plugin window and reopened it: still no sidechain icon. I then selected the disabled Channel Strip in insert slot 1: the sidechain icon appeared. I selected my Channel Strip in slot 3: now the sidechain icon appeared.

Why? Why a small team? Steinberg doesn't think the iOS platform is relevant? Or is it waiting for someone to release a full-featured logic or something similar with desktop functionality and kill all the competition at once? So they can run after the train that just left? I just want to understand why? Plugin makers are increasingly coming to the iOS platform, but in fact none of the daw's have the full potential of m1/m2 ipads and get the level of desktop functionality.
