Oh excellent! Damn, update hasn't rolled out here yet
other features: Pan modules for individual tracks
Custom Sample Library Location (desktop)
ALT+DRAG in re-arrange tab to swap slice (Desktop)
Double click track to randomize its effects
track lock prevents audio files from being randomized
various bug fixes and improvements
Still no drag and drop? People are gonna be pissed off by that, I guess they weren't able to hack that after all? JUCE need to pull their finger out
Still no update here.
AUV3 is broken when you cannot properly assign personal folders to cycle thru sample or loops in Beatplay or Loopmix. It very frustrating to say the least. Yeah sure they advise to create kits in the app and load them in AUV3 but that’s so not direct. When they adress that one then we can say yes !
It is frustrating. Is this another JUCE in iOS limitation? If so I think we may have to accept that many apps using JUCE will have certain limitations. If that is the case there are 3 options. 1. Contact JUCE directly asking them - nicely - to update their framework and explaining why things like lack of drag and drop or better in-AUv3 file management are issues. 2. Be careful when buying JUCE apps that have lacks of functionality that you think will really bother you. If the pros outweigh the cons don’t buy. 3. Accept that you may just have to use workarounds if an app has enough features that make you want it despite not being perfect.
Nor here - it’s strange because I always thought before that any updated app would show on refreshing the App Store even if it didn’t initially show as having an update.
I haven’t seen it yet either. I got the release info from a screen shot on the Facebook AUv3 group...
FYI: There are requests for drag and drop in IOS AUv3 apps on the JUCE Forum dated Dec 2022. Someone mentions they have
added some code to a class that they would be willing to provide a "pull request" for that new code but the thread stops at that post without developer comment:
https://forum.juce.com/t/filebrowsercomponent-dragging-behavior-on-ios/54058
There's also another thread that refers to Koala and FRMS file behavior and terminates with statement from a JUCE developer that this bug will be patched on a new release... dated Nov 2022. I'm not sure if the local file issue is exactly on point with the "drag and drop" issue. But still... users of JUCE complain and fixes are implemented.

Thnx McD, hopefully they’re on it then
I never hold my breath. I'll probably use my own samples in the standalone instance and export loops.
Ok.. It landed.
Multi-out?
Playbeat multiout? 😉
Sooooo sad this update 😥
Well, I'm bitterly disappointed not to see drag and drop added because it would be so useful, but I guess, in the end, it just wasn't technically possible. It's really on JUCE to add this, it seems. Unfortunately some desktop devs aren't even aware that drag and drop in auv3 is possible - they just assume that because JUCE doesn't support it on iOS it is not possible and don't use iOS enough themselves to be aware that there are apps like Atom2 that actually have this feature. I made Audiomodern aware of this possibility and it seems they tried their hardest to do so but couldn't pull it off. Until JUCE do something to add this, I suggest people follow the advice in my post above. And definitely we're all learning that if a feature is really important to you, don't buy til it is out, even if the devs say (in good faith) that it'll be added soon.
Very glad to see a smoothing control though, and individual track panning and randomisation.
Cant seem to record into Cubasis 3.Can see the AU on a Midi track in Cubasis and when i hit play its fine but when hitting record it doesn’t seem to capture any Midi. The sound from Loopmix is heard and registers on my Cubasis channel meters but just wont record as Midi notes on the timeline.Hmmm…any help gratefully recieved, thanks.
I have just finished rebuilding my preset library and manually re-marking my favourites from screenshots (in 2023 🙂) after the previous update broke it, as per usual with Playbeat and Loopmix. Their support gave me perfect non-answers whenever I asked them so I stopped asking.
Here's hoping the new update might break it again and I get another valuable lesson in self-discipline and of the importance in life of being able to start again from scratch 🤷
Oh damn....
Just checking btw - if any knows.... 'double click on a track button to randomise its effects'. Does this mean tap on the number of the track on the left hand side of the main page? Ie 1 to 6? Because when I do this on the rearrange tab and density tabs, it works, on other tabs (reverse etc) it does nothing. IPad Pro 3rd Gen, 12.9 inch, iOS 16.2, AUM latest beta version.
After this update the packs I had made on my own can no longer find it's audio despite it's still in the Loopmix folder. So effing annoying I closed without checking the new stuff
Oh goddddd.....
I feel for you. That sounds familiar. Part of what I was talking about above, actually, only in my case it usually involves the packs downloaded from their site as well.
I hope you won't get that, but another moment to savour is when you download a pack, do everything by the book, try to import it into the app as described, and the process randomly works about one out of five times, freezing the app the other four times. Amateurish.
Mind you, I opened one of my own presets with my own imported sounds earlier and it worked totally fine. These presets had been imported individually into the auv3 though, if I remember right
I agree with you on that disappointment about drag n drop. It is really the missing link in workflow with this app for me. I was under the impression drag n drop was coming in the next update, and had been waiting months for it.
Same - I was under the impression it would be ready shortly after release. Sadly not. Think a lot of people will be gutted that's missing from this update.
Wonderful news. Oh. Reading again. Not wonderful news. I don't even feel like opening Loopmix now.
I like this thread. We’re all sad but no rant about it. 🖤
I have a love/hate relationship with Audiomodern. They make wonderful plugins. However, they make a lot of empty promises. Take Riffer for example, great plugin on iPad. Abyssmal UI/UX on the iPhone. The buttons/switches are too small. The text/icons are impossible to read. These are things Audiomodern promised to fix 3 years ago. So I avoid now.
The tiny UI elements on their apps make me tend to avoid using them even though I’d like to.
So, is there a problem with LoopMix and should we update or wait?
