General App Discussion?? It’s not even an app.
Thanks @mojozart!
I have been doing wind synthesis since the first wx7 came out in the 80s. i was the first kid on the block to own one and used it extensively professionally. I have owned half a dozen wind controllers since. Does this do anything a wind controller can’t do? I also know about every issue wind controllers have when interfacing with synthesizers and sequencers and there are many. Examples are zipper noise (the bane of my existing) response, assignability, latency etc. Does this device solve any of those problems? I can’t imagine it does. My guess is that it just brings those issues (and benefits to be fair) to unsuspecting keyboard players. Someone please tell me I am wrong. I want to be wrong. Credit card is in my hand if I am.
I just got my tecontrol breath controller a few weeks ago, and for SWAM instruments, it’s hard to beat a breath controller. The control is so much more precise than seaboard, geoshred and Joué. Does anyone know in which country this company is located?
@robosardine breath controllers (and other MIDI controllers) are of general interest to many iOS app users, particularly users of MG2, GeoShred, SWAM, Respiro, Animoog Z, and other apps that produce sounds that can be morphed by channel volume, aftertouch and other CC. Excuse me for not drawing the connection.
@FriedTapeworm PAPRITECH (aka Paprika Technologies) headquarters is in Menzel Temime, Tunisia.
@boomer I think a lot of people in the know are still waiting for Photon by IMOXPLUS to finally be released
@mojozart thank you! Now that looks promising. A huge amount of expression on wind instruments, if not most of it, takes place inside the mouth. Sensors for what goes on in there are the holy grail of wind synthesis imo. Gonna pay attention to that one.
