Remind me - standalone iPad keyboards or melodic pad apps for split screen work

I need to do some iPad based work and would like to have a playable chromatic instrument on one side of the screen, preferably stand alone so that I don’t have to add any extra steps when I decide to use it.

Something like GeoShred would be perfect if it could display in portrait mode and split screen, but that’s not happening.

Any suggestions come to mind? Besides placing a phone beside the iPad, of course. 🤣)

I love playing GS and other screentars, but if you want rhythmic precision then you need a mechanical controller. Screen doesn’t cut it.

GridInstrument - has one sound built-in.. split view or slide over..
I usually use it with AUM + point it to a sound source of my choice..

Stage manager on ipad pro could be very useful for your task

  • KB-1 and Audanika are the best for this in my opinion.

  • Excellent suggestions. You all are going to keep me busy with this! 😀
