Question about Cubasis in conjunction with Audiobus and external Synths?

edited August 2014 in General App Discussion

I would like to know if this is possible.

  1. Play midi note data from cubase that is being sent via virtual midi to some synth like Animoog or Thor - And at the same time recording the audio via Audiobus back to Cubase in realtime while at the same time tweaking the synth.

Will the recorded audio be 100% in sync with the cubase project? Or will latency be introduced when piping midi and audio back and forth this way?

Is Cubase stable and without hassles in this aspect? Is it possible to record many tracks from different synths thru Audiobus and Virtual midi and have everything in sync with Cubase?
