DRAMBO TO ABLETON
Hello all.
Hope someone can offer some advice.
I would like to record loops, melodies etc using the MILLIONS of apps I have on my iPad, then move them over to Ableton on my Mac mini to expand them and finish them. I find the iPad is WAAAAAY more intuitive to begin writing music with.
What's the best way of moving music over to Ableton on my Mac? Is the only option recording a track/stem, and putting that file into my drop box, then opening it up in my mac? Is there another option I am missing?
Thanks good people!

What audio interface do you have? There aren't many that make it easy to facilitate the conversation between iPad music and a desktop DAW. The iConnect 4+ is rare in this regard, I guess? Here's a video showing its somewhat complex but very flexible routing system.
This video is seven years old, I just realized. iConnectivity has updated its interfaces with USB-C.
Is this the only way of moving audio files between Drambo and ablation? I can’t believe I can’t simply export audio to a drive then move this to ableton. Damn
No, of course you could do that. I can't imagine it's the most inspiring or convenient way to do it.
You can absolutely export audio to a drive and then move to Ableton. Probably the most straightforward way. That’s what I would do. Why don’t you try it out for yourself
Export to tracks/stems then Airdrop to your Mac. Or save the stems to iCloud, which will make them available to the Mac. Dropbox is less efficient than both of those.
You can also use iDAM to playback directly to your Mac and record in Ableton. But IMO, transferring files by Airdrop is the most efficient.
There are tons of articles and videos about how to set up iDAM. Here's a starter.

I'll try this now. Thank you for that. Appreciated.
