  • I use AirDrop to transfer photos in smaller chunks. Otherwise I transfer all the photos and then rip them out of photolibrary.

  • You can delete images with Image Capture app on the Mac unless you have them synced to iCloud on your iPhone or iPad…

Photos often won't sync until both the source and target devices are connected to power. If that doesn't kick-start things, then opening the photos app, or whatever it is you're trying to sync on the devices may help.

    I guess it's a battery-saving "feature".

Connect your iPhone to your Mac with the USB power/data cable that came with your phone. Then open the "Photos" application on your desktop. In the side panel of the Photos app you'll see your phone icon. Click on that. Then you'll see what options you have to import to your desktop and delete from the phone or import and leave the images on your phone.

  • Let's see you could air-drop them from your phone or iPad to your Mac, You could use the file app to connect to server (your Mac) and transfer them to whatever location you want. You could place them in your files app and in eventually your Mac should sync the files from your phone then you can access them on your Mac. I transfer files from my iPad /iPhone to a PC every day using connect to the server so I can't imagine why you can't do it on a Mac.

  • You have your iCloud Drive sync turned on on your Mac.

  • I think you have to go into iCloud Drive (options) and that is were you sync your phone and your Mac iCloud folder, Then if you moved photos from your phone to iCloud Drive they will also be on your Mac. That's the way it works on my Phone, ipad, Macs and PC's .
