Fractal Bits questions
1) where are the files located on the iPad for sounds exported from AU version in AUM? I see them within FB in AU mode, but can’t find them with iOS Files…?
2) how do you change the algorithm in the stand alone version?
Comments
I tested record from both versions and they end up in Fractal Bits folder on my iPad after I save. On the stand alone version all pads were locked so to change preset I had to unlock them (don't know if I had done that myself). As for algorithm changes, I'm not sure I understand.
In the AU version you can choose FM, fractal sample, etc… can’t find an equivalent in the standalone.
The standalone seems to export wavs to a folder I can access in Files. Not so in AU version.
Hi, I don't think the AU exports are available outside of the hosted AU - I've hunted too!
but
You can change the algorithm in stand alone by going into settings > Midi Mapping (!!) and tapping the parameter selector at the top and then tap the Algorithm below.
There are a number of ways to get content out of the AU version. The most direct is to tap the three dots at the top-left and select Export / Import > System export, which will get you to the standard files app browser.
That's great, thanks.
Is there way to get access to the AU 'full kit' waves export - I just can't work it out - it doesn't seem to launch the standard files app browser like the single file 'System Export'?
I see, I learnt something new Anyway, they are under the same path in settings: namely MIDI mapping. So I could change to e.g to FM on the stand alone as well.
I would just "Copy as text" from the AUv3, open the standalone, "Paste from text", then "Export to WAVs".
No sense tryin' to beat a dead horse.
