It depends what you're using it for as the sequencer handles modulations as well as note data. But it can be set to do just the modulations without any note data. At the moment, I'm making evolving Pads with slow-res sequencer modulations which are freeform and running continuously, not required to sync accurately to anything else.
Understood… thanks 👍
@Spidericemidas is going to like these new additions...
They are all really great additions, especially the resonant filter with the noise generator.
I reckon a lot of people will love the randomising options with the three snapshot buttons, very nice touches. It's become a real powerhouse of a synth now.
Paul is one of the few developers who continues to add significant features AFTER the debut of his apps. Amazing.
Copperhead now updated to version 1.0.6.
The automation of wavetypes could be fun!
@NeuM i was so excited to see like 5 of those features in the update. Especially patch randomization, automate the wavetables, a second VCF, chord index, and new filters from famous hardware. Just wow..
I haven’t tried it yet but I’m really excited to do so…
True. I’m definitely a big 4P fan, he has so many great apps now, it’s just amazing. I probably have half, I mean 4P has its own folder on my device, which only a few others do…
@Spidericemidas SoundCloud served up one of your compositions and I must admit… it’s really good. You don’t seem to share creations here so I would direct people to your SoundCloud page to prove you can also put these presets to good use.

Thanks for the kind words and the plug!
I originally intended just to make music for myself on the iPad, but quickly ended up getting addicted to making synth presets instead, which are a lot more fun and rewarding to share with the community.
Yeah there's a number of tracks pinned to spotlight that I was most pleased with personally, but I don't tend to advertise them much as I think they're still a bit too long for today's listening.
It's really hard to make good music! Not only the production/composition but also all that EQing to get a good mix! 😅
At some point I will get back to making more music, but with synths as good as Copperhead, preset making is too good to resist...and much easier!
These sounds are amazing @Spidericemidas , I feel like it's some of your finest work! Even got me inspired to start playing around in Copperhead and creating some of my own presets (which I don't often do) to understand its workflow. It's quite easy to come up with interesting and usable sounds pretty quickly--I made about 10 just last night. If it turns into a decent collection of non-embarrassing presets, I'll share it with the community. Can't wait to hear your pads!
That's great to hear. It's an excellent synth having so many features but all are easy to access and use. It's definitely not a chore to work on at all.
Yes! The more presets the better for this synth. It has so much to offer. I hope you continue to produce a bank for it.
I'm working on pads/atmos and keys sounds, but it also has so much grunt that it's turning out to be good for synth drum/perc sounds and bass stabs too, so I'm adding those in as an additional group. Those might be useful and fun to sample into a drum sequencer or something.
Help!
Bought Copperhead yesterday, having trouble with the buttons, some are quite unresponsive and some are completely unresponsive. I hit the full screen button and now I can’t turn it off the button just won’t press and Im stuck at full screen ! iPhone 8+
As always, when experiencing issues, perform a hard shutdown and restart of the device and then try it again.
Can always use more drums and percussion variants... sounds excellent. Looking forward to them.
Yeah tried that already, unfortunately it did not help. @4pockets_paul any idea how to solve this?
Yeah I just bought it in the current sale and noticed the same thing. At first I thought it must be my fault but it's not. There's definitely something wrong, very unresponsive.
I’m having a problem with some knobs not work> @FPC said:
I had the same issue and reported it to Paul via YouTube. It’s fixed in the next update which I have through TestFlight. Shouldn’t be long before it makes it’s way out.
That’s great! I’ll wait for the bugfix, then. Thanks for sharing
Copperhead just got ANOTHER new free set of patches from Paul.
This time he added "Stellar Anomalies", which includes Arps & Sequences, Atmospherics & Pads, Leads & Keys, Low Zone categories.
Very cool, @4pockets_paul!
I actually made those. Paul was gracious enough to share them through his most excellent synth app. Enjoy, everyone!
Great job, thanks!
Thank YOU!
Thank you StrangeStarperson!
Thank you!!!!! I was working on a track tonight and only got through trying 4 presets - I settled on 2 presets of yours to add to an existing project and it really added some nice layers. Can’t wait to check out the rest of them tomorrow... we’ll done!
That’s wonderful to hear @Halftone ! So glad you found them usable so quickly—I feel like that is a very good sign. I really endeavored to make them very musical and almost all of them should be interestingly interactive with the mod wheel, too!
