  • …and not an app in sight. Proper music :) Lovely.

  • Well that was a really nice way to start the day! I’m sitting in the sun drinking my coffee and I was totally vibing along  Really well done, very enjoyable to listen to

  • Outstanding technique - well done! 😎

  • HI @espiegel123 ,
    Lovely, simply lovely!
Your guitar playing is so special, and I love this recording.
Perfect for my cup of coffee as well!!!
    Truly, outstanding technique!
    Thank you for this beauty!

  • Nice playing Ed! I should play more myself. Thanks for the reminder that we don’t always need a new app.

  • More like this, please!

  • Really nice.

As with others it makes me think I should play acoustic guitar more often.

  • Beautiful. I wish I could do that.

  • When we get AI and physical modeling we will all be able to create this lovely artisanal art. Until then please post these so we know how great the future will be when it gets here.

Seriously, nice playing. I could probably cover the bass line with a little practice. I’d need to re-gain those callouses.

  • Lovely, something to aspire to there!

  • Thanks for listening and the kind comments @Svetlovska @Plien @richardyot @ReneAsologuitar @Edward_Alexander @Schmotown @michael_m @FastGhost @McD @Krupa

I was a bit nervous about both recording this way and then posting -- I had a long layoff (years) from guitar prior to the pandemic -- and have been trying since then to re-find myself and cure myself of decades of bad habits. So, the encouraging words are nice to hear. Thanks, so much.

  • Btw: even though this is a live one-take with no edits recorded to my phone, I want to give a shout out to Loopy Pro which has become an essential tool to me for practice and catching song ideas. I've got some templates that I set up for the various ways I like to work -- and one is just for catching ideas. I'll record all sorts of bits and pieces of related ideas in one project and then I can go back later and listen to them all and figure out what I like and what I don't.

When I do those, each clip (loop) is a standalone thing that ignores the project tempo and is not necessarily recorded to loop. It's just convenient to have them all in one place.

  • Perfect with an Atavan. 👍👍

  • Really enjoyed that. Lovely sound and very pleasant!

  • Lovely, great use of the fully analogue, organic foot appendage at about 1:45 🦶🙏

  • Nice piece. Makes me want to get my fretted guitar out of the closet!

  • Nice! Good job.

  • I’m jealous. Never learned to fingerpick and you make it sound so good. I love that melody. I’m with Schmotown, more please.

    Thanks for listening and commenting.

@GeoTony : appendage use was completely involuntary
