I'm glad of this thread, it got me looking at Wavebox again. Resting here this morning, I created my first decent loop, in Wavebox, trimmed, timestretched and filtered, from a keyed sequence of an ambient preset I made in SampleWiz 2.

    What a delight!

You and me both! I went ahead and got the IAP and man it’s awesome. I turned a simple loop of a piano into something entirely different. And the UI is just great.

    It's been quite the discovery.

How do yoiu like it compared to hokusai 2?

I prefer the Hokusai 2 interface. But Wavebox was super quick and easy to use. Really intuitive and creative.

Which do you think you’ll gravitate more towards? I could see Hakusai being great for spoken word and vocal samples. I’m sure I’ll get both eventually lol

Don't think anyone's mentioned JustPressRecord - it does what it says on the tin, has a few storage options (inside the app, in the ios file system or on icloud) and lets you select input devices and recording quality. It also integrates with the Apple Watch.

I think I got this years ago for its speech to text functionality, if I remember right, for which it was pretty useless - otter.ai and its apps are faaaar superior. But yeah, a nice simple little recording app
