Does Digistix 2 have a probability - % chance feature?
Just wondering. I don’t have it yet but I’d like to find out. I can’t find any references to it and I don’t think there is a manual. I know all about the randomise functions it’s just the probability/ chance thing I’m wondering about. I’m guessing it doesn’t - from what I’ve seen so far it would make it into an amazing drum machine if it did and I would buy it in a split second 😀

Yeah it does have probability 👍
Yes it does - nder Controllers you can adjust the probability per step in the sequencer.
Ah…. excellent! Thank you. Is this the best drum machine ever? Surely it must be - it’s got it all….. hasn’t it?
There’s nothing missing as far as I can fathom…. am I wrong? - it even has ‘levels’ of randomisation. It actually records samples directly.
Is this the ultissimo AU drum machine? What if anything is missing? What ‘beats’ it?
I can’t understand - I have a ton of drum machines.. but I don’t have this one…. how could that be? Maybe that UI appearance bias that I had against it? Maybe a bit of the ‘meh’ with Digistix1.
Is this a fantastic drum machine 😀?
Let me say this first, @robosardine - I have yet to find the "perfect" drum machine yet. I have many, and DS2 is the one I come back to most because it does what I need it to. I also can get around the interface pretty well so I do like it a lot.
There are things it does not do - it struggles with time signatures that are not based in 4, it cannot do Round Robin & Velocity samples at the same time (either or), the sequencer is limited to 16th notes, and a few other things. These items may not matter to you, but they are worth mentioning.
I think it really boils down to use case. Can you accomplish what you need to with your other drum apps? If so, don't bother. If not, then maybe this is worth a look.
Thanks very much for that - I’m not bothered about it not having the things you mentioned at all - I like it all 4 at a time - it’s all techno electronics for me.
I can’t do everything I want with any other drum app - there is always something missing, but as far as I can see Digistix 2 has them all. Namely - Randomising the pattern in an overall and individual basis, step probability, sample import, multi outputs, built in effects, drag and drop, step and real time recording, drum parameter editing, shuffle, built in sequencer and solo/mute options.
No other AU drum machine has all these as far as I know 😀👍
