Most viewed threads on the Forum?

Just noticed the Mozaic thread approaching 90k views, and it made me wonder, is that the most viewed thread here? If not, what is? Not a dick-measuring competition, by any stretch 😂 but would be nice to have a forum view allowing users to view threads rated by engagement, just as an indicator of what things have excited people the most. Of course, like all such metrics, it would be weighted in terms of older apps, but it would be interesting to know nevertheless.

“Not a dick-measuring competition, by any stretch”
I’m sure there’s an app for that 😂

  • I’ve not looked, but the one beginning with ‘D’ must be up there.

  • Just a quick glance down the first few topics and the one about app sales is up to 110k views. Probably the reason some Devs have given up.

Yep, @Poppadocrock is the easy winner by a mile. 🤗

  • Haha, yeah the D thread might be winning. I don't think the sales thread counts, as much as I admire poppa's hard work there.

Ugh I know… I wish there was a way to block those threads 🤣

Cheers. Yea I’m not the bragging type but I was going to mention myself. I decided to do mine yearly so it didn’t get bloated with too much info.

There’s also the 2023 desktop samples thread, I think @cazel started.
No app left behind 2023, I think @cazel did too

I try to contribute to those two when I can.

  • God bless

  • I'm sure the one with the nude Kardashian app pics is right up there.

  • @Gavinski some different filtering/sorting tools would be nice. If I remember correctly the forum needs an update, and @Michael is aware of it. There have been a few feature requests in the past, but the last time I spoke with him (8-10 months ago) he mentioned something about the newer version of whatever he used to create this forum, that made it a bit tricky. Plus he has been putting everything into loopy Pro, which is understandable. He was planning on the forum update in the future but no real timeline. hopefully he will get a chance to do it at some point and he could add some new features, like you mentioned. Maybe he could chime in…

No. That takes hardware and only yields a few millimeters after months of use. Caveat emptor.
It doesn't mean you can't sell an app claiming results but caveat emptor.

    Or "App Sales"...?

The winner in views has to be the thread that announced Drambo is coming and grew to hundreds of pages. Hardly worth revisiting. It was 90% "when already" and 10% "Trust me... it will be worth the wait".

Yeah, it's definitely on my todo list – I'm focusing on getting a major Loopy Pro update out the door as well as getting VST support into the macOS beta so I can start getting it out there; once there's a bit less time pressure I'll see what I can do about our aging forum software.

 If it's the one i'm thinking, I started that one. I just saw some teaser and shared with 2 lines something like "Have y'all seen it". It grew so much and so fast I couldn't even follow. I gave up and visited rarely just to say I wasn't a bad parent

Edit: Yep... poppa making his thread annual was a great gift to humanity. More threads should be like that.
Oh... other big threads I recall are for LK and Zenbeats.

  • Gonna be super meta when and if this thread becomes the most viewed thread

OK, that has to be the most low-key mention of such gigantic news (Loopy Pro on Intel + Mx Macs + VST support) that I've seen in a long time. 😂

If it weren't for the chorus of Angels singing the Hallelujah chorus, I'd have overlooked it entirely.

Awesome, thanks for the info @Michael

That’s totally understandable. This forum, your apps, are pillars to this whole iOS music making thing, thanks.

Hahah! I'll mention it more broadly soon, when it's ready for testing!

  • Thank you @Michael for making IOS Music Makers into a community of users with the ABF and developers (that implemented to the AudioBus specs).

Looking forward to seeing Loopy Pro on MacBooks… probably need to dig out that BlueBoard. I tried the new WoodTroller keyboard on my Macs and the “touch pad” just feels so wrong compared to the iPad. I’m loving doing almost everything on the iPad with a Smart Keyboard to control carpal tunnel pains.

I started getting back into music by buying a Looping pedal and got seriously sidetracked by IOS apps and this community of
Supportive creatives. So, digging into Loopy Pro seems like closing the loop on this iPad era.
