Run To Me, Bee Gees 1972
"Run To Me" by the Bee Gees.
Released in 12 April 1972.
If ever you got rain in your heart
Someone has hurt you, and torn you apart
Am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me
And let it be like they said it would be
Me loving you girl, and you loving me
Am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me
Run to me whenever you're lonely
(To love me)
Run to me if you need a shoulder
Now and then, you need someone older
So darling, you run to me
And when you're out in the cold
No one beside you
And no one to hold
Am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me
And when you've got nothing to lose
Nothing to pay for, nothing to choose
Am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me
Run to me whenever you're lonely
Run to me if you need a shoulder
Now and then you need someone older
So darling, you run to me
Run to me whenever you're lonely
Run to me if you need a shoulder
Now and then you need someone older
So darling, you run to me
Run to me whenever you're lonely

We’re both up. You at 10 and me at 1. I never listened to the words of these classics till you sing them.
@ReneAsologuitar : Let me put it this way. You, Rene, are the only reason I would willingly listen to anything by the BeeGees. You’re just that good!
I enjoyed this one Rene, but if you decide to do another BeeGees tune I hope you’ll ask Clarissa to join. The harmonies were always my favorite part of their music.
Hope you and yours are good.
Mac

Hi Mike,
Sometimes, even at distant coasts, and even on a different continent, wavelengths can be on one level.
I am so glad to be on your level, my friend!!!
Glad that you were able to really listen to the message of this classic.
I love the lyricism of the 70s, quite simple, and truly from the heart!
Stay well, @LinearLineman !!!
I have to agree with @LinearLineman , I never really listened to the words either, until now. I love your interpretation better than the original. Absolutely beautiful!

You are so kind, @Svetlovska , and I am truly honored to be reading such huge compliment!!!
Saturday Nigh Fever, got me hooked with The Bee Gees.
Thank you, as always, for your love and support!!!
Warm regards,
Rene
It took me a long time to dispassionately consider Bee Gee songs on their own merit aside from the vocals of the 3 Brothers: Barry with that air vibrato, Robin always singing in a falsetto and Maurice never stepping up front but filling in the chords.
But longevity and a song book filled with hits makes you wake up and realize what great song they wrote over their careers.
You do this one justice, Rene.

Thank you so much for the great request for Clarissa!
I will try my hardest to get her back into my Music Room for a recording, she is so engrossed with the start of her career, but I will get her in for a duet very soon!
I love my short stint with a few recordings with Clarissa!!!
I agree, Bee Gees songs need harmonies to really get the BG vibe!!!
Thank you, again, @MadeofWax / Mac!!!
With love and respect,
Rene

Hi @Paulieworld ,
As I am sipping my coffee this morning, and reading your wonderful words, the sun gloriously came out of hiding from some clouds lingering around the Pacific Northwest.
I am truly honored by your lovely comments, so inspiring!!!
Love and respect,
Rene
Yes I’m another one guilty of not listening to the words but your version Rene really makes a feature of them… lovely 😊
He Rene you are just magic! Regards, frenq
Another beautiful masterpiece cover. You ARE magic and a true pure soul.

Hi @McD ,
Thanks a million for the "justice", truly a huge compliment, especially coming from you, my friend!!!
I grew up with The Bee Gees, as my older siblings were singing their older tunes, i.e. Spicks and Specks, Holiday, etc.
Then Disco Fever got in the air and theaters!!!
Truly a gifted musical family!!!
Stay well and keep healthy!!!
With love and respect,
Rene

You are so appreciated, my friend!
Again, thank you!!!
With love and respect,
Rene
