AU. midi piano roll apps
beside atom piano roll.
what other AU midi piano roll apps
are out there?
I’m looking for something super basic just to essentially sketch out ideas on
Comments
LK, Helium
LK ? is that the abelton controller app?
Sand. Best sketch app
It is also a very full featured midi app.
It is also an ios midi clip launcher with a piano roll sequencer for the clips
ohh. i forgot about that one. thanks
Is sand an au or does it host au, or both?
Helium
LK matrix unlock, it has several parts each with an unlock IAP.
It host au
Yep SAND is great. AUSH is also very good, and was (is?) free for a limited time. Comes with a synth and effects too.
Sequence is great but not AU. LK is probably the best AU option for this that I have.
So AUSH. i’m interested in it. looks very similar to Sand from the pictures. does it do anything different or better than Sand. or is it pretty much the same thing?
It's free to try...
...I gave up on AUSH after >10 crashes within 10 minutes and deleted it...
weird. looks like $3.99 here. so it crashes a bunch? i might stay away from that one then
It was free for a limited launch-time...
...have not checked if it's gotten any updates after the initial release.
Depending on your needs, LK, Helium, Atom 2 and even Drambo might do it.
Other options are naturally the existing DAWs and hosting sequencing the AUv3's in them...
(Cubasis, NS2, BM3, ZenBeats, Drambo etc. work just fine for that).
I got it for free so I can’t complain too much, but I haven’t had any issues with it so far. It’s basically the same as SAND but it comes with a synth and effects.
I have not heard of Sand. Just bought NanoStudio2 in my quest for easiest piano roll for composing. Sand might be next.
This thread is a year old.
Both BAM and EG Nodes are also options now. 👍🏽
What about Cem’s midi looper? Looks like a dope like Neon w/piano roll- imo.
