im not a huge fan of klevgrand stuff, but i am a sucker for music boxes. will snag it
I love it, it has a really nice physical, mechanical sound.
G1 to C7
Well, the metal cups library for Decent Sampler, which I like but is nowhere near as good as this, costs 10 bucks. And this has the lovely reverse mode, beautiful room modeling and reverb, as well as a gorgeous interface, so I think it is a bargain personally.
+1
Plus, you get a lovely music box in your phone
Exactly! Great for sampling.
Hmm I thought it was fairly priced. Nothing wrong with something that does one thing very very well.
I won't say that 6,99€ is "expensive", but even if the "pristine music box" sound is just wonderful in the @Gavinski 's demo, I would have been happy to bought it at a real higher price if it has proposed the "clicks and dirts and woody or old springs" sounds of a real music box.
It does have a vintage and antique mode which gives it a bit of that feeling but it’s not a perfect encapsulation. And it does have the “clicks”. I have enough effects for that if need be though. Maybe it’ll come in an update? Either way, I’m enjoying it 🤷🏻♂️
I love music boxes, and at this price, I think it is fair, especially with the various modes. I also discovered by accident that you can trigger the tines via screen swipe on them as well as via midi. Very cool. Instant haunted nursery vibes… Mwah ha ha, etcetera…
Yeah, clicks would have been nice, if you look at something like Marble Machine! Maybe the next app will be a model of the this lol:
Delightful plug-in.
Just posted my first track with it over in the Creations thread. I like it! I think next I need to pair it with the temple bells set I made a while back, for the full on sauna and spa day experience…
I can recommend feeding this into Magma. Sounds awesome.
I bet that is a nice combo. I haven't actually even processed it with any fx yet, but I'm really looking forward to doing so! Rymdigare and the Magic apps here we come!
Man, I keep forgetting I have so many of these amazing apps. Someone mentions them here and I go "oh, totally forgot about that great app".
Recently re-discovered "Fieldscaper".
Too many toys...
Indeed... It gets a bit farcical after a while really, lol
It sounds ok but I've got FM bell sounds like it on Dexed and much better samples from FreeSound.
As some one who admittedly spent far too long thinking about music boxes for the last Creation I posted here, it seems a bit artificial and pure.
Search freesound for 'music box'?

Thnx! Nice sound. No velocity layers to this though is a bit of a disadvantage compared to Speldosa.
The Magic apps are still on my to-buy list. Hopefully I’ll have them soon 🤞 I’m on the beta for MMM but I haven’t wrapped my head around it yet.
@Gavinski I went a bit far into the music box rabbit hole before and they don't really have velocity in real life. I know the Klevgrand app isn't trying to be a music box, but my 2 cents is that it's pretty easy to get a similar sound many different ways.
Sure they don't have velocity in real life, so I can totally understand why you might want to use one with fixed velocity but with more of the extra clicks etc of a real music box 👍
There's some good samples here too : https://www.noiiz.com/sounds/instruments/2
Some of those sound very nice, cheers!
By the way folks, winners of any klevgrand app have been picked:

Congrats!
👍🏻😉
Congrats to the winners... (...Oops I forgot to participate ; days are too short 😅🫣)
This app sounds great! Cheaper than a carton of eggs!
I just had a bit of a scroll through the AudioBus "Compatible Apps" section - it is amazing how many apps there are now. You look at all the pretty icons and think "this is nuts". It's like having a hundred baker shops side by side in the high street. Too many apps fighting for our dollars.
Didn’t think I needed this until I saw the Gavinski video. But wow, it’s definitely an instant gratification app. ❤️🥰❤️👍
