Behringer System 55 35 15 big discount
Heya,
Just saw this and thought i would post here. Not sure if anyone is interested but, since alot of ambient, soundscape types here... Sweetwater is selling the Behringer system 55 35 and 15 at quite a discount if you ever were interested but the price still was a bit high. the 55 is $1599 35 $999 and the 15 $799. Don't think you ever gonna beat that. I checked Thomann and they don't seem to be selling this deal - maybe soon or can price match.
Comments
I thought Behringer dropped their prices across the board due to increase in chip availability
as i know this is just Sweetwater speciffic deal with Behringer, other distributors are not participating (so no discount in Thomann)
Hm. Since the act of national self harm that was Brexit, the chance of a great deal like that making it over here to plucky Little Engerland is slim to none, but I’d scrape up seven hundred and ninety nine of yer actual British pounds for a *System 15…
*Correction, thank you, @cyberheater
That would be a pretty sweet deal.
Seems to be around £1200 here.
EDIT (That's for the system 15. Not the model)
I'm shocked if I come across anything at all that hasn't had a price hike here this year. Everything, and even apps now have had a 20% increase. And yet my income...
@monz0id: Still, blue passports, ‘sovereignty’, ‘freedumb’ etcetera, eh?
It really sucks that those are the only things that people think they got in return. Even though I haven’t lived there for a very long time I have continued to renew my British passport, but I’ll probably just let it expire now as it’s useless.
It’s a shame we can’t vaccinate against stupidity. Unfortunately it now makes it almost impossible to plan anything - particularly when it comes to investing in new kit. Just when you think prices are crazy, and decide to wait until they calm down, they go up even more!
Mine expired years ago. Doesn’t really bother me as I’m a hermit, but when I do get around to renewing it I’ll plump for the Irish version (cheers, pater).
Makes me wonder how much a small modular would be?
This sound like a clearance sale: I guess Uli wants to close the clone department
It's clones all the way down.
I’m afraid the B clone adventure is over: despite the constant teasing, they didn’t release anything since 2021. Uli has been trapped into the chip shortage and there is no sign that the problem will get for the better. Now the clearance sale…
I’m quite sure that his moment of glory belong to the past
Same here - I can get an Irish passport, so I might get that as my second one rather than a British one.
meanwhile in the real world they most likely outsell everyone
Oh yes, I 'm talking about the future: they are now selling off their entire catalog, meanwhile not releasing new clones. I mean, what's the strategy? Are they closing the clone department?
They have promised quite a few things that haven’t materialized yet too.
Selling off? Based on what? Their DFAM clone is about to hit the stores...
Chip shortage hit every manufacturer... do you think from now on no synth will be made ever?
And many chips everyone relies on is actually produced by them as well, I would say they will be fine and with time their catalogue will only grow...
Their strategy is to bring cheaper options to the market and it seem to be working... our price sensitivity only grew in the past few years... besides the crazy inflation, many of those dismissing them 5 years ago, now use their synths all around.
We'll never see the dozen of synths teased in the last years. My speculation is that due to chip shortage Uli decided the business is not profitable anymore, that's why the clearance sale. The "Out of business" sign will follow
FYI, called sweetwater and they say:
These are new price drops (not blowout). They sold out of the 55 in 2 days but, you can still order at current prices. @cyberheater is correct Behringer is lowering pricing now that they have chips. All Behringer synths except Neutron are discounted. The bArp 2600s are at a pretty attractive price too (spring rev version $599). I did notice Amazon has lowered the prices as well. I'm guessing Thomann can't be far behind.
