Drambo AUM Audio Volume to Midi

Hi everyone.
Im trying to convert my audio-in signal (volume) to midi values so that I can use it as a Modulator for parameters of other auv3s. I am working with Drambo at the moment but although the midi monitor inside Drambo shows me it is working I can’t get the midi output to affect anything outside Drambo. Can you guys help me?

Thanks

  • Hi. You can use a MIDI monitor in AUM to verify that the messages are actually leaving Drambo. Then, you need to route the MIDI to "MIDI Control" in AUM for MIDI to affect AUv3 parameters. Routing MIDI to an app only allows it to affect the app's internal MIDI mapping.

  • Thank you!!! I could find my fault. I had to lid the Drambo default midi fx template that is generated when you add Drambo as a midi effect. Building the same thing yourself doesn’t send out the midi. I don’t know why but it doesn’t matter.

For future reference, I believe you need to route the MIDI Output in the track settings. It defaults to MIDI Feedback, which prevents output. Or you can use a MIDI Output module, and implement the routing in it.
