Are there any devices like CME U-Host?

https://cme-widi.pl/widi-uhost

Seems like it’s going to be exactly what I need, cept it’s still “crowd hunting” to start production. I need something pretty much immediately.

What does this "cme widi-uhost" do differently than the "cme widi-uhost" that's already been available for sale?:

  • Hey @pax-eterna I think you have found an old site or something weird.

    Here’s the current site:

Oh cool thx much…haha dunno how I got onto that old one!!

  • To answer the original question anyway (and for the record if anyone cares) there's also the Yamaha UD-BT01.

If anyone's into DIY, @wim has shared a very nice project here:

Raspberries will become available in higher quantities again soon.

  • @pax-eterna Currently use a CME UHOST they been out a while.

The WIDI thru 6 BT is a neat little device also.

it's a good device, but I need a MIDI back in as well...it's why I am looking at the U-Host. I've already got three WIDI-Masters and a WIDI Jack

I bought one for this ( The Akai Lpd8 )

    and just finished making stand.

but never used. Nor the uhost.

Dont think it works with usb c.

If you ever decide to make a usbc controller, bluetooth.

That is a pretty good price, depending a bit on shipping of course. The product is solid, very good.

Like at the cables in the photo and on their site, they have USB a b & c options so you should be ablw to get a correct cable

    Not a bad deal imo
I’m doing some research to see if it’ll work well if i want to use my digitone as a MIDI controller over BT or if it’s best to just stay wired

    Dont think theres usbc.

Its a usbc end to any other.

and maybe why cable are OTG.

    Its ok for now.

    Dont think id need usbc

    Were just saying for you.

as it didnt work with a usbc cable.

The deck will be good though ( lpd8 or not )

When the swam instruments and piano are sorted.

  • Beware: These cables are just accessory cables for the main UHost device. I have one and it works pretty well:

    • USB C in and out
    • Can act both as host and as client
    • Limitation: It doesn't support USB devices with multiple virtual Midi ports like the SQ-1 sequencer or Launchpads. This might be fixed now - haven't updated the firmware for some time.
