A jam I did with Axxon, Esoteric Synth, Hammerhead, Korg Module, all ran through a bit of effects (Dragonfly, Eventide MangleVerb and Blackhole, Other Desert Cities and Glitchcore) This is my first time posting any music here, hope you guys enjoy!

  • Must admit after 30 seconds I was about to give up on this but I stuck with it and it’s strangely hypnotic… well worth a listen 😊
    Thanks for posting 👍

  • Damn, there is some violence here!!! I dig the energy and atmosphere man!

  • Holy shit it’s really good

  • At last some music from you! ^_^ Is it IDM? It's really nice and glitchy and a great listen.

  • @HotStrange , I’m typing whilst I’m listening.

The intro was enticing, that was a nice touch.

Oh very cool, you’ve strayed into Massive Attack, Tricky territory with added glitch.

I like the use of space counterbalanced with the Hammerhead Amen sample rhythmic changes.

    Nice material.

    Looking forward to hearing more.

  • Enjoyed that! 👍

@HotStrange : Loved the slow insidious build, the space and control, and the textural noises, and then when the glitch drums came in, I found myself thinking of drum and bass pioneer Roni Size and Reprazent’s New Forms.

I really liked this. Post more, post often :)

Haha I know right?! About time. 😅 Definitely IDM inspired. A lot of my stuff tends to be.

Appreciate it! I was going for a trip-hop with glitch kind of vibe so I’m glad that came across.

Woah high praise! I was aiming for a drum n bass/trip hop kinda mix. Most definitely planning on posting more often/uploading more music. It took me a while to finally get stuff out there and it really feels nice having posted something and receiving some cool feedback. Thank you 🙏

  • Nice stuff, love the build, and then the energy and its subsequent dissipation…

  • Enjoyed it from beginning to end. You’re on your way!

  • @HotStrange This is so different from anything I do, it’s hard for me to make any insightful comments, but I tell you what I enjoyed it, so that’s all that matters huh? Keep it up, this is a great start.

  • Dark and weird. Nice work!

  • Exuberantly claustrophobic.

    Also, first-rate.

I look forward to hearing more.

  • Nice track. Loved the intro and the soundscapes you conjure up. If I was a bit picky I would say nearly 2 mins 30 is a bit long for an intro unless you maybe subtract sounds and add others to keep it interesting, weaving in and out. Nice use of effects and panning too.

Appreciate that! Claustrophobic is a great descriptor.

I was wondering that myself. I guess since I usually work in more experimental domains, longer intros make sense but I was going back and forth between 1-1/2 and 2-1/2 minutes. I think the jam aspect got the better of me 😂 thanks for listening!

  • Really great atmosphere and overall vibe. Like a drum n bass joy division! My only constructive criticism would be that some of the glitchcore breakdowns didn't work for me, though others were excellent. That's the thing with Glitchcore, I think its output needs careful editing - or it might just be a matter of taste, cos I could definitely say the same about some Squarepusher and Aphex breaks 😂

Congrats on your first uploaded track, looking forward to more. 🍄

That’s funny because Joy Division is my favorite band! As far as Glitchcore goes, I agree. There were a couple of spots where I wasn’t feeling it 100% either, but I was happy enough with the overall product that I just left it in. I ran through the jam maybe half a dozen times and just went with the best 😂

Thanks for checking it out! I’m excited to post some more music.

  • Not my usual type of listening material but loved when the drums came in. It does have that stark feel of Joy Division and I could "hear" an Ian Curtis style droney vocal over the top of this.
