polychord updated with audiobus 2

Looks cool. Does anybody use it?

Yes, it's nice.
Apple promoted it when it was new.
@gmslayton I got this app awhile ago, really wanted to like it because it's nicely laid out, crashed a lot, with no updates I moved on to others.
I am really liking this update, it has been very stable for me today. It has the ability to send midi on like 5 channels and has a basic arp and drum section. Preasure sensitive switch can give velocity variations. It works well now.
It lacks a mod wheel implementation, like chordian. Also would like to see the ability to create custom drum/arp sequence, but it's great for triggering chords.
Stability update, hope to see it worked on regularly with user requested features.
Getting the 'port unavailable' message in AB while trying to work with Auria in output...prolly doing something basic and wrong, but all the same.
Hey guys, developer here. Thanks for checking out polychord! I've noticed that sometimes the port unavailable message happens if you launch audiobus after polychord is already open. Try force quitting polychord, then launching from within Audiobus.
There are a lot of customization features we want to add, and lots planned for this year. Please rate and review us on iTunes as it really helps us out, especially with keeping momentum for updates! Good ratings and reviews are the lifeblood of indie app developers
Hello @polychordapp and thanks for the tip, I will give it a try. I'm thinking of re-arranging my iPad screens by apps that like to be open before AB and those that prefer to be opened after AB is already running.
Do like the app and its possibilities. Keep up the (good) work
Thanks @polychordapp! I've been a huge fan of Polychord over the years and excited about customization.
Using Polychord's midi to drive EWQL Instruments in BM2 is one of my favorite iOS configurations. Brilliant app
Awesome @DarbyA -- would love to see a video of that setup.
When Polychord came out 4 years ago iOS didn't even have MIDI yet, if you can believe that!
I remember and no Audiobus! What a flourishing time that was for great music apps, so many of my favorites belong to that era (a few years ago haha).
No video yet but this song used Polychord's midi for violins. Unfortunately soundcloud has done evil things to the hats and cymbols which are badly distorted here.
Polychord is still my favorite midi controller. Absolutely beautiful.
Nice composition @DarbyA. I liked the transitions throughout.
Thanks @funjunkie27 Wish I had something that was a better polychord showcase, might make that a new project
Very nice! I especially liked the violin between 2:15 and 2:35. What was the sound generator for those?
Thanks @Washboy! That segment is using 2 violins, both come from East West Symphonic Orchestra if I'm remembering right. I've created BM2 instruments, a pizzicato and a sustained violin, from the samples and I'm playing them with Polychord while recording BM2 into Audioshare via Audiobus on iPad 2. Polychord is relatively light on resources and the attack/release is perfect, works great!
Ah! Clever Sadly beyond my budget. Those violins do sound superb though. Well done!
Very cool @DarbyA -- thanks for posting!
A lot of work was put into Polychord this year in terms of making things more efficient -- entire sound engine was re-written from the ground up actually. It's a balance, because lots of people are asking for customization features, but there's also the need to keep the app lean and modern, and not using too much resources. Especially with Audiobus.
Now that we have a lean, stable and performant version to build off of, there are plans for returning to the customization options people have been asking for.
@DarbyA That was sweet! East West's sounds are amazing.
@polychordapp I must of been wrong, there is some sort of modulation in the strum keys. I created This TRACK using polychord driving GuitarCapo+.
The custom arp thing I stated earlier comes second vs keeping the app lean and mean. It would be handy to have the strum keys have some sort of designation to scale degree. Please implement background audio (sorry if i missed it). Great app.

Sorry to say that currently Polychord is ONLY showing up as 'port unavailable' however I quit it, reboot, launch only within AB, etc etc. Great pity as it's only in the past few days that I've properly come to realize (thanks @DarbyA ) the full power of this thing.
Is this prob. something you know about?
(On an iPad Air over here in downtown -far too hot this morning- Austin).
Thanks.
Says port unavailable here on iPad 4. Works though!
@Fitz Hmmm. Good thought.
Rushes off to steal Missus Goodyear's 4Pad
I don't get any port unavailable message with BM2, it just works immediately with the keyboard sampler selected like always for me. What I really love about Polychord as a controller is that pitch bend that you get when you move the keys slightly left or right, it seems just the right amount for strings
Edit: Okay now I did see the message once in AB. I removed it from the slot and then added it again, fixed
Good tip @DarbyA, saw message, removed from input, added again, message not there!
No luck here I'm afraid. The 4 isn't any better. And now I see the same thing with Session Band. Suspecting it's a me problem. Thinking about reinstalling AB just to remove that as a variable from the equation.
Can't remember: Can AB saved presets be, you know, saved for use post a re-install?
I'm getting port unavailable too.
It works, it just shows the message
