(bug?) My clean guitar is recorded with a distortion effect (with default loopy pro settings)

edited April 2023 in Loopy Pro

Hi all.
I'm just starting my way into loopy pro, and immediately encountered an obstacle.
I have a fresh loopy pro (v 1.0.42 (345)) with default settings, where I changed only "auto loop detection" option.

I'm trying to record a clean acoustic guitar through an iPhone 13 microphone.

I get a sound with a distortion effect.

At the same time if I record the guitar on a standard recorder - the sound is clear. There is nothing wrong with the microphone.

I would be very grateful for tips.

Please screen capture the issue and show your settings and describe your setup (including how you are monitoring). This sounds like there might be some adjustments you need to make to your settings..possibly to your recording or playback levels.
