Looking for an Arpeggiator app that will advance on incoming midinote/trigger
I know about Senode, but I find setting it up to be a bit finiky and it doesn't rally work like an arp...
Does anyone know of an arp app that will only advance through the series when it gets a secondary note trigger?
So....
Chord goes into arp
Assigned Midi trigger note (maybe on another channel) goes in and that's what advances the arp to the next step
Looking through my hundred arp apps, nothing seems to fit the bill...
Maybe there's an arp hiding inside a synth app I don't know of that would work like this?
Poking in Drambo (since I'm sure someone will say "just use drambo") if there's a way to do it I don't see it...
Ideas?
Thanks!

You can do this in miRack or Drambo, but they’re no easier than Senode. It would be nice to have a more off-the-shelf app for this.
I researched this a lot for a desktop solution and found this Ableton Max for Live device which does work well-
Please post if you have luck with anything on iOS!
That is cool, and seems to have popped up after I gave up looking!
But I would not be willing to drop $$ for Live + MAX just for this one plugin.
Yea, I have a step platback sequencer VST from some long lost dude named Piz...
Called Midistep.
https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=300566
It was brilliant! 16 channels of sequenced notes, each can be set to advance via diff trig note.
Seems to be lost to the sands of time though...
But it does seem to be gettable from : https://web.archive.org/web/20170707050938/http://www.thepiz.org/plugins/?p=midiStep
Of course not gonna do a lot of good an an ipad.
I've never been able to get Senode's Arp mode to do what I think it's supposed to do...
For iOS, there are a few options that I know of, and possibly more.
MIDIsteps has been the most straightforward to setup for this, (of the ones I’ve used). It’s also AU but it’s not universal. I don’t remember it being a dedicated ARP, but it’s a step sequencer, so it’s fast and easy to program notes to make an arp.

Helium can also do this as well. AU and universal. I don’t remember it being overly complicated:

Even tho I’ve never used it, Thesys is capable of this too. Not universal but AU.

Drambo, but as someone said, not straight-forward, unless you’re a Drambonian.
This question comes up often. Here's just one recent thread from forum search results.
