“On we go” - uptempo synth track with emvoice vocal
On my see saw of optimism/pessimism , this one veers to the brighter side
Tried a different structure with verse, verse, middle 8 - so forgot the chorus
Worked out the chords in scaler 2, and then created everything apart from the vocals, in IOS GarageBand.
Video was created in VS and the lyric overlay in moviespirit
Hope you enjoy

Enjoying both visually and audio, very nice melody.
Soothing and nice to the ear!
Love the video.
Relaxing lyrics, always love the sea!!!
@ReneAsologuitar thank you so much for your kind comments, glad you liked it.
Glad to hear your continuing use of Emvoice. I'm still planning on doing something with that. Helps to get some inspiration from your examples.
When I get time (and money!) I might try synth V as well. The full version seems to have some very detailed settings you can play around, but for the moment , emvoice Lucy is doing the job quite nicely.
Nice choice of sounds and uplifting vibe.
This conjured up memories of Giorgio Moroder’s Midnight Express. I love the lyrics.
Can you tell me more about VS? I would like to start doing some video for my material and this is exactly what I’m looking for. Is Emvoice available for iPad?
thanks @AlterEgo_UK . much appreciated.
@Paulieworld - unfortunately Emvoice is currently PC/Mac only - although as it's all cloud based I don't think it would be too much of a stretch for them to released an AUV3.
So I took the very cheap easy route of resurrecting an old laptop and sticking the free Cakewalk DAW on it. I hardly use any of the DAW features - just taught myself enough to use markers, add a VST and export out.
My workflow is create the base structure of chords/main instruments in Garageband IOS, then export out a WAV of the song, and use that as a backing tracking within Cakewalk, I then work on the lyrics in Cakewalk with Emvoice, and then export just the vocals out as a WAV and then position and mix them back within Garageband.
It used to be a bit of a faff - and yes if emvoice was IOS it would be so much easier - but I've got it down to quite a smooth process.
The thing with emvoice, the first time you use it - and also when you are first developing a track, it can sound flat and just plain wrong, so it normally takes about 3 attempts to get it just right.
Also found that following a lead instrumental melody created in GB IOS works well - although I have to sit there and manually copy the notes into emvoice as GB IOS doesn't allow midi export. Emvoice also introduced the vibrato tool which gives a bit more feeling, but as with any voice there is a set range that seems to work really well.
I'm pleased with emvoice - synth V might be another option and is around the same price (and has a decent demo, the emvoice one limits you to 8 notes).
As for VS, it's still very much a learning exercise, you have presets, but you trigger them from a drop down menu on screen, or you can have 8 layers setup with materials (as I do), and trigger those from an onscreen button press. In my new video track for Found, I started to play with the sound triggering, and I understand if you have a midi keyboard, then it's even easier.
I still prefer Staella, but it needs more and varied presets
There’s something about the synth sounds you use that I really like.. another great track.
I see a future where Lucy starts to get more confident and we finish up with a comment from her …
When I get time (and money!) I might try a different human as well. The full versions seems to have some very detailed settings you can play around, but for the moment , Mat is doing the job quite nicely
thank you again, glad you liked it.
I think Synth-V seems to have more tuning in the full version than emvoice, but not ready to try two synths yet - I'll leave it someone else Hopefully one of these vendors will produce a native IOS version, so smooth out the workflow.
Incidentally, when I worked on this track initially it was 90BPMs, but it sounded too slow with the lyrics, so pushed it up to 110bpms, rerecorded the lyrics, and it worked much better.
