@Gratouilli the future is really good for iOS music on IPad more and more you got the best dev team working on it like Fabfilter, steinberg that have a great team for Cubasis , Baby Audio and more and more to quote.

I think that the future of great apps is not coming of hardware music maker like Korg , Yamaha, Roland … but from some top VST company in the style of Fabfilter, Baby audio dedicated to the pro market with stability and quick bug fixing and able to make the most of the wonderful GUI and workflow of IPad.

There are no space anymore low end dev but a real opportunity for the best one to make a better living and to do pro level hobby music you need no more than 20 very good apps. AB and AUM are perfect examples of what can do a top dev focus on a point.

We don’t need Logic on IPad we need a better Daw than Logic on IPad.

I think for Fabfilter - and the same goes for some other desktop devs - to truly rank up there with the best stuff available on iOS, they need to really step up their game in terms of how well-designed their interfaces are for touch screen. Some apps like Pro-R are not really affected too much by the lack of custom design for touch screen, but others like Twin 3 are not even fully functional using just a finger, and it takes a lot of pleasure away from using them on even the biggest iPads. They really could do a lot better in this area, but so could many iOS-native devs, for that matter. It’s my biggest bugbear by far about this whole platform. Considering that the key advantage of iOS is the interface, there are certainly a heck of a lot of bad UIs out there.

@Gavinski I totally agree with you but GUI is a very difficult task , it should be a new subject on this forum in itself.

Thanks, well maybe I will, depending on how busy my evening will be. Would be one of the rare occasions, when peer pressure is actually good for something forcing me to bypass my obstructive perfectionism and, maybe more importantly, overwhelming shyness.

I do feel more at ease in jamsessions, where things don't have to serve a song structure. Don't take it as a promise, I might stitch something up and set it free (sometimes it feels like the music wants that):)

Hey, thanks for the encouragement (yes, I know you were kidding). I got something at least a lot closer to finished, than I usually do, it's up on SoundCloud and I'll publish it here as soon, as I've got an entry on the wiki here, which I didn't manage on my own. Cheers
