Before there were UFOs there were… Ghost Rockets

“Keep the Americans out!” - excerpt from the text of decrypted secret memo concerning the ‘ghost rocket’ phenomena of the late 1940s.

Before there were flying saucers, ufos or unidentified aerial phenomena, there were ‘ghost rockets’, numbers of which apparently entered Swedish airspace in the years following WWII, and were widely witnessed and photographed:

The phenomena remains unexplained to this day. At the time, strong suspicions were that the Russians were making use of their recent seizure of the famous Nazi rocket base and personnel of Peenemünde, but in a 1967 lecture to the Greek Astronomical Society on the subject, a prominent official involved in the original investigations had this to say:

"We soon established that they were not missiles. But, before we could do any more, the Army, after conferring with foreign officials (presumably U.S. Defense Dept.), ordered the investigation stopped. Foreign scientists [from Washington] flew to Greece for secret talks with me". Secrecy was invoked because “officials were afraid to admit of a superior technology against which we have no possibility of defense.”

A clearing of the decks, or rather, the iPad: something I finished a while ago, discovered in my storage spring clean, hence can’t recall how I made it beyond the fact that it was a single-synth-only trial run for Dexed which I had just bought, but need to get it out to make room on my poor clogged little iPad for new stuff. Either that, or buy a new iPad;)
