What is the most important iOS music apps ever made. You simply couldn’t do this on a desktop with a cursor.

As a Cal bear, I am confused as to how Stanford could produce such genius.

Definitely deserves a place as a must have iOS music app! It’s amazing

No worries - at least you got a response!

Love Borderlands, and the update looks interesting, my personal wish though is for AU support - as nipping back and forth between the app and say, AUM, is a bit of a pain.

Yeah I agree with that. At least a little button as with shoom would be good!

  • This happy news about my favorite all-time app also introduced me to Touch, a company “creating sonic and visual productions” from the UK and everywhere since 1982. Music for drones from vinyl to Bandcamp.

previous update was 3 years ago and it doesnt work quite ok with AUM...:(
    fingers crossed.

What problems do you have in AUM? It has been reliable for me.

  • Oh this is excited. Borderlands is my favorite app on iOS. Stoked to see where it goes.

    Ah

  • Nice to see that it will soon run on iPhones. I hope that besides the gyroscope feature some more nice surprises will be presented. Anyway, great to see that Christopher is still developing this fantastic iOS veteran.

I love having a play with Borderlands. One of my first iOS apps, and I have to say that everytime I've used it, I've gotten results that are nothing short of beautiful. To look at. On the other hand, I haven't really grasped the whole thing from the standpoint of a pretend musician.

One thing I recall seeming to notice was that the individual nodes would seem to just go into hibernation or death of something after a promising start. Then they'd stay in one place, feebly showing the minimum signs necessary for identifying life. Does anyone have that experience? I'd jostle them and they wd come back after a while. But I never figured out what was going on there, and if it was supposed to be happenhing

Without seeing a demonstration, it is hard for me to guess what might have caused that behavior.

OK. I'll try it again later, and if I notice it again, I'll try and post. Thanks for reading my post, and the associated implied offer.

I’m honestly not upset by that answer. The app is currently nearly perfect (for me) as is, so any extra features are just icing on an already extremely good cake. AUV3 will be awesome to have eventually though just for being able to sample directly in a little easier via AUM. The IG reels he’s posting seem super cool though. I’m just glad it’s still being actively developed. It’s my favorite app and I’d be super bummed to see it go.
