Remapping incoming GS patches to another choice or soundfont
Hi -
First off - thanks for the add.
I've been using BS-16i on my iPad with my Studiologic and other midi controllers for a few months now. There are some rich sounds in BS-16i!
However - I just added a Roland A-33 midi controller which only has preset buttons that were used back in the day with their hardware sound fonts and were pre-mapped to MIDI GS sounds.
I have this controller plugged into BS-16i using the GS sound library as standard. the buttons DO change the sounds however I don't like about 10% of the GS patches and would rather use the sounds in BS-16i. There MIGHT be another suitable sound of a similar nature in the GS library, but the keyboard is preset to transmit only one PGM # for each preset button.
I'm trying to figure out how to edit what get's transmitted from the keyboard, but there is no software to re-map from Roland.
Is there a way to accomplish this is BS-16i?
Thanks everyone!
